Missionary Emma Ingraham DONATE Hi friends! My name is Emma Ingraham and I am on staff at the School of Biblical Studies with YWAM (Youth With A Mission) Kona! The school is dedicated to the full-time study of the bible over the course of an academic year. The heart behind this 9 month programme is to disciple students to grow in their understanding of the bible through intense study, in order to see the larger story and message of the Gospel, and to enjoy a greater love for God. This intensive bible school takes the students through the scriptures 5 times over the course of the 9 months and teaches them how to study through the indicative bible study method. This method highlights the importance of self-study, historical background information, and context. I began my journey in YWAM with my DTS (Discipleship Training School) in Kona, Hawaii in the Autumn of 2020. This 6 month course changed my life. I was impacted by the love of Jesus for me and others, and His heart to save the lost. This 6 month season was a time the Lord used to work in my heart and give me a better and fuller revelation of who Jesus is and why I need Him in my life. Following my DTS, my soul was hungry to know the bible and understand more of God for myself. So, I did the SBS (School of Biblical Studies) in September of 2021 and I graduated from the course in late June of 2022. This was the most important season of my life as I studied the word of God, grew to understand more of His character, and worked through difficult topics and passages. After finishing this school, my passion for the bible has only increased. I am so excited to go back to Kona, for my third year - but returning as staff for the School of Biblical Studies. As a staff member, I will be walking with next years' students as they study the bible. I will be a small group leader, in charge of a few women- doing one-on-ones and weekly check-ins to see how they're doing and pray for them. I will also be given the opportunity to teach. Over the 9 months I will be teaching select bible books to the students- covering historical background, structure, literature, and themes. I will be continuing with my study alongside the group of students, so that I can be equipped to teach. I would love for you to pray and consider partnering with me financially as I study and teach the bible! Missionary Derek Nguyen DONATE My name is Derek and I’m giving the next 6 months of my life to go into the mission field with YWAM (Youth With A Mission) Circut Riders. Circuit Riders is a ministry of Youth With A Mission, focused on reaching Universities and High Schools. CR is a missional community based in Huntington Beach, California. Their heart is to reach the lost, revive and encourage the body of Christ, and train and empower thousands as proclaimers of the gospel. They have built several platforms, projects and campaigns to empower and train leaders and activate every believer and to inspire our generation to love like Jesus. Since I was in high school, I knew my calling was to be in ministry. I didn’t know what that would look like specifically, but as I continued to follow the Lord, I started to have this deep passion to share the gospel. My heart started to break for young kids and even adults who have never experienced the love of Jesus. After praying throughout my first year of college and seeking the Lord for the calling on my life, I have decided to go into the mission field. MISSIONARY Isabelle Ramos DONATE Hi! I am Isabelle Ramos, a full-time missionary with YWAM (Youth With A Mission) in Kona, Hawaii! I did my DTS (discipleship Training School) in Kona, Hawaii. During that season the Lord marked my heart for missions and completely transformed my life. I walked away from that season fully knowing my identity in Christ. And I left DTS burning to see people in every nation know who Jesus is and understand their identity in Him. This is just the beginning of my next season. In July I will be heading back to Kona, Hawaii for Leadership Track. Then after those three months, I am hoping to staff the next September quarter. Staffing will look like walking with students through their DTS. Praying and interceding for their breakthrough and freedom, as well as growing as a leader. Then leading a team to the nations for three months, where we will go and make Jesus known. There is something so special about this generation. The nations are full of our fiery generation, and that is why it is so important that people go and share the gospel; to activate and have them burn for Jesus too. MISSIONARY Carly Benavides DONATE Hey everyone, I’m Carly! Back in 2015 I joined YWAM to know God and make Him known. After finishing my DTS I knew I wanted to continue to work with YWAM. I joined YWAM again in 2017 and began staffing in a biblical studies school. This is a school that empowers young believers to know the word of God, know the transformation power of the scripture, and equip them with the foundation they need as they go out into further missions. I’ve had the joy of walking alongside students in this school, discipling, serving, and teaching them. So far I have volunteered with 3 bases around the world! A base in Switzerland, Hawaii, and Haiti. My ministry focus in YWAM has been teaching the bible because God has shown me how the Bible is a treasure and incredibly important for our faith, and walk with Him. As well as teaching and discipling students we also focus on outreach and sharing the truths and love of God to others! Current season in YWAM Cambridge Currently I’m in England with YWAM Cambridge! This time I’m a student in SBS. I came to further learn about the word of God, so that I can continue to pour out into others! Also I’m involved with a local church to work in their youth group called Tribe so that in the midst of studies, we can share with the youth in England who God is. Missionary Abby Stoltzfoos DONATE Hello everyone! My name is Abby Stoltzfoos and I’m serving with YWAM (Youth With A Mission) in Kona, Hawaii! YWAM is a collaborative non-profit mission sending organization that is focused on fulfilling the Great Commission (Matthew 28:16.) It is a global movement, full of young people driven by a passion to know God and make Him known. I did my DTS in the spring of this year and since then the Lord put a burning for missions in my heart. Discipleship Training School (DTS) is a six month program that teaches you to pursue God and be activated. Since then I got a word of the Lord that I’m supposed to be staffing. I’m currently in South Africa getting leadership training. If I’m accepted I’ll go back to Kona to disciple and lead a DTS team into the nations. If I’m not chosen to staff I will pursue another opportunity outside this school! I am fully invested to join staff with YWAM Kona however that looks! All my life I’ve had a passion for women and kids ministry. I long to see women and young girls to know their worth and beauty in Jesus. I’ve felt the joy too, being set free and I want others to experience that also! I know I’m called to full time missions and I’m so thankful that I have people in my life who support the call of God on my life. Missionary Michelle Housein DONATE Hello! I am Michelle Housein a missionary currently on stand with Brave Love YWAM Kona (Youth With A Mission). At YWAM we equip anyone willing to walk out the calling the Lord has for them. Our motto is — “To know God, and to make Him known.” We are currently the largest missions-sending base in the world!! I did my discipleship training school with YWAM in 2022, I was able to hear God's voice over my life and encounter the Holy Spirit. I was able to hear the Lord tell me that counseling was a gift God wanted me to pursue. And the leadership skills to be able to confidently activate the tools I learned to be a vessel of healing to people. I have always loved being there for people and serving them the best I can. And the Lord is making ways that I need to develop and enhance my knowledge of restoration for the hungry ones seeking the Lord. The Lord led me to Brave Love where we want to train and equip women to communicate with conviction what Biblical Womanhood looks like in our world today. Our mission is to activate and send out women to be the solution to the injustices they see in the world around them. WOW. How excited I am to be a part of a movement that will stretch me as a person and also be an example for women.
