Since the fall of 2021, I have joined a Christian missionary sending organization called YWAM (Youth With A Mission) located in Kona, Hawaii. At the age of 18, my life changed drastically because I found myself in love with the man Jesus! Over the years, I've witnessed my family's lives and many others transformed because of the gospel of truth (Romans 1:16). I am now serving with messengers and at a local church called KKF (Kosrae Kona Fellowship). Missionary Malachi Blackington DONATE I have an awesome opportunity to share the gospel across the nation and internationally. Recently, I applied and was accepted to attend a 6-month Discipleship Training School with an organization called Circuit Riders. God has opened up an amazing door for me to be trained to lead others into the presence of God through worship. For 3 months, I will learn how to play with a band, write songs, and gain confidence in the gifts God has given me. In the first half of the program, I will be trained in a school and activated with ministry nights and local evangelism outreaches. The training is designed to equip me in my calling, connect with other like-minded people and be activated into a real missional project. The next 3 months of the program, I will participate in an outreach to high schools and universities in the U.S or internationally. Circuit Riders is an initiative born out of YWAM and is dedicated to mobilizing as many as possible to present Jesus to the world and equip believers to do their part in the Great Commission. Circuit Riders is a ministry focused on reaching Universities and High Schools. It is a missional community based in Huntington Beach, California that began in 2011. Circuit Riders is a community of self-funded missionaries who are required to raise support as it is a volunteer-based program. In February 2024, I attended The Send, where the Lord first spoke to me about the nations. I gave Jesus my "Yes!", not knowing what to expect or where He would take me. Two days later, I got contacted by Fire and Fragrance South Africa, about their upcoming Discipleship Training School in June 2024. Missionaries Jonny & Nina Pocoroba DONATE Hello! We are Jonny, Nina, Jackson, and Vivien Pocoroba. We have been missionaries with YWAM for 14 years and have served in China, Brazil, Japan, and most recently our home, Long Beach, CA. In September we are moving our family to Tokyo, Japan to plant a church. Japan is considered the second largest unreached people group in the world. This means that most in this country have never heard the gospel and in fact, many that we have met there have never heard the name of Jesus. Can you imagine? When we think of what He has done in our lives how can we not commit to sharing this good news to those that have never heard? Our vision for our church plant in Tokyo is all about evangelism and creating community. Missionary David & Augusta Barreto DONATE David and Augusta Barreto have been missionaries with YWAM since 1995. They worked in the favelas of Rio de Janeiro for 23 years, serving families through community development projects, evangelism, missionary training, and mobilization and training for evangelism during the FIFA World Cup and the Olympics. They served seven years with YWAM Richmond, working in training, evangelism, and mobilization. From there, they served in Turkey, Greece, Lebanon, and Mongolia, evangelizing, distributing Bibles, and helping war refugees. MISSIONARY Taylor Morgan DONATE Hi! I am Taylor and I am with Youth With A Mission (YWAM). Right now, I am with the base in Lausanne, Switzerland. Our mission is to know God and to make Him known. One of the major ways we do this is through our Discipleship Training School where we spent three months learning who God is, who we are to Him and what we can do because of this identity in Jesus Christ. Then after learning this, we go into a nation for two months to make God known among that nation, applying and sharing everything that we just learned. I work in discipling the ones that participate in this course and by co-leading teams into the nations. I also work in developing communities in underdeveloped and impoverished nations by empowering the people in their strengths and resources that they already have. Rajan & Jolly are long term missionaries with Youth With A Mission (YWAM) for the last 20 years. They have served in the missions in various capacities as the City Coordinators, East India area Convener, YWAM India National Board member, Advisory Member etc. They Pioneered a base in the beautiful Archipelagos in the Bay of Bengal called Andaman & Nicobar Islands. After hearing the sturdy voice of God they moved into the City of Kolkata, where 45lakh people reside, the main religion being Hinduism. They work among the marginalized and underprivileged people group who have no access to proper living conditions. Basically slum dwellers and the homeless, who migrate from villages in search of jobs to bigger cities. They serve them in the following capacities. Run sewing classes for the women and give them some life skills. Conduct prayer walk and worship in the major red-light districts of the country. Help little children by providing scholarship for their educations. Plant churches in the unreached areas of the country Disciple and train young people and champion them to lead a God centered life Network with different organizations and churches to build unity and love among the body of Christ. They are also praying to establish a business firm in the country to help build the sustainability of people in the missions and also help people by giving employment to break the chain of poverty in the society. They have a great vision to start a regular school to provide better education to the slum kids. Right now they are a team of 8 members, working passionately and tirelessly. We are here to bring the kingdom of God, in a season which is unfavorable for Christian workers. Persecution is on rise in this part of the world, we speak the freedom and peace of God. Missionary Leah SyCip DONATE Hello friends! My name is Leah, and this fall I am going to be attending Circuit Rider's Discipleship Training School in Huntington Beach! After graduating from high school last year and finishing one year of college, I have decided to take a gap year to grow in my faith and to ultimately follow Jesus! Circuit Riders is a ministry focused on reaching this generation with the message of Jesus. Their goal is to help people step into their calling and become equipped to share the good news with those who don't yet know! I am passionate about seeing my generation encounter Jesus and live in the hope and freedom He gives! In a world filled with so much brokenness, I hope I can be used as the hands and feet of Jesus in this next season!! I've seen Jesus show up in my life in incredible and personal ways, and I want to share the love and mercy He gives so freely. Starting the end of September, I will officially be a full-time missionary, which means I will be giving my full attention to the mission of sharing the gospel. While I am working as much as I can now, I am hoping to have the assistance of financial partners while I am away. I am aiming to raise between $13,000-$14,000 to cover training, transportation and other living costs.
