My name is Jessica, and I currently serve with Youth With A Mission (YWAM) In México City.
In 2022, I went through a very difficult situation that deeply marked my life. I was the victim of a sexual crime, and in the middle of pain and brokenness, Jesus met me in a real and profound way. During that process, He began restoring my heart and showed me that my story did not end there.
The word God spoke over my life during that season was Isaiah 43:18-19:
“Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?”
Since then, that has become the message I want to carry to the nations: Jesus makes all things new. I want this generation to know that there is no life too broken or heart too wounded for Him to restore.
Although God had already been speaking to my heart about missions while I was training at the missionary institute of my local church, in 2023 I decided to fully respond to His calling. I left my job and my journalism career to begin my full-time missionary journey.
In 2024, I completed my DTS with YWAM HOLA. During my outreach in Brazil, God gave me a deep love for Latin America and began awakening in me a desire to disciple and mobilize young people to the nations. In 2025, I had the opportunity to lead a team on a backpacking mission trip throughout Central America, an experience that confirmed my calling even more.
Currently, I serve as staff with YWAM HOLA, discipling young people and helping train and mobilize Latin Americans to the nations. God has also placed in my heart a long-term vision to serve in Asia and the Middle East, especially among Buddhist and Muslim communities.
Thank you for being part of bringing the message that Jesus still restores lives and makes all things new.
Jessica
