Missionary Sophie Jenkins DONATE Hey hey!! So glad you're here! I'm Sophie and I will be working with Bible Students from all over the world who come to YWAM Amsterdam to study! I fell in love with the Bible during my own Discipleships Bible School and now I get the wonderful opportunity to work with this school as a staff member! I absolutely fell in love with the Word during my time in DBS and the Lord has met me in amazing ways while reading. I feel like I have a new understanding of the meaning of "the Living Word" as I've been reading through the Bible the last few months. Reading the Word has been so convicting, it has highlighted the ways in which I respond like the characters in these stories instead of turning to face the Lord in all things. The homework I do helps apply these things and I really have seen my entire worldview and perspective shifting while diving into the Bible. Bible illiteracy is very prevalent in Christianity. Most people who are Christian's have never read through the Bible, which is the foundation of what the faith is. The school I will be working with will equip students to go out into the mission field, and to go home to their hometown mission fields. The Bible applies to every situation and every future calling. No matter what, spending three months in the Bible is something that won't be regretted. This school is so important to the foundation of Christianity and what we say we believe in. By making God's unconditional Love visible to all people especially to persecuted Christians living in the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. Gawahi Mission a Christian NGO that was declared a tax-exempt organization in 2011 by the government of Pakistan. Our Mission: Sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ & reaching to unreached and unengaged tribes with the love of Jesus in Pakistan and the whole Arab world. Sadly, Pakistan is a radical Islamic country in which our mission and our people are persecuted. www.gawahicommunity.org We drill clean water wells in remote villages: The dirty water that these villagers were drinking made the children die, but God sent us there, in 2006, with local supplies, we can drill water wells, and in doing so not only help these villages with clean water but open doors that help advance the gospel. Gawahi's Pakistan Clean Water Project Providing Food Relief: Many people are generational slaves to landowners who hardly feed them, sometimes going long periods without food. Gawahi Missions provide these people with monthly food packages. In doing this for these people we get the opportunity to share the good news of our lord & savior Jesus Christ. Gawahi Mission Food & Quilt Distribution Sewing Machine Project for Women: For the women who live in the outer tribes of Pakistan, their lives are horrible. Many are abused, kidnapped, and forcibly converted to Islam. When Gawahi Missions heard of these terrible incidents we decided to intervene. We started to empower these women by teaching them not only to use sewing machines but on how to tend to livestock. So that these women wouldn't have to go back to their abusers. Christmas Celebration in Village Church 2019 Training Leaders & planting Churches: As thousands and thousands of people come to Christ, in Pakistan they have started churches where there used to be none. While starting these churches there has been a shortage of church leaders. Gawahi Missions finds these people and trains them on how to keep these churches healthy and we also teach them how to tell other tribes surrounding them the good news of Jesus. Evangelism & Bible Distribution: evangelizing the gospel of Jesus by word & actions is the DNA of Gawahi Missions & Television. 97% population of Pakistan is Muslim the rest are Christians, Hindus, and other tribal groups. Due to false accusations of blasphemy law & persecution threats that Christians are facing, it's hard to share the gospel freely to Muslims then God gave us a vision to start Christian television in 2009 which was bombed by the Taliban in 2015, by God's grace Gawahi TV (www.gawahi.tv) still reach millions of Muslims every day with the good news of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Our prayer phone line and office, we receive 2000 to 3000 calls every day. These people are from different religions and backgrounds, and they all have questions to know about Jesus and their wish to get a bible. Gawahi TV & Missions heartbeat is Win Souls for the Kingdom of God Building Orphanage & Persecution shelter: Christians in Pakistan get killed because they refused to convert to Islam. We have recorded attacks when whole villages & blocks have been burnt because they are Christians. Due to these attacks, children have no place to live, so they started living in the streets, under bridges, and every day someone is abused, kidnapped, or killed. In 2021, we started construction of Gawahi Hope & Persecuted center in Sindh Province. Where we can rescue, raise, and educate hundreds of children. We will also provide safe shelter home to 6 to 8 families those came from Muslim backgrounds and persecuted after converted to Christianity. Gawahi Orphanage and Persecuted Center Reaching out to Afghan Refugees in Pakistan: When the Taliban took over Afghanistan in September 2021, over half a million Afghan refugees migrated to Pakistan. Gawahi Mission responded to this emergency by providing food relief to radical Islamic families who came from Afghanistan. We also prayed for them and shared the love of Jesus with Afghan families. In November 2021, the weather at the border of Pakistan & Afghanistan got cold. So, we provided Quilts and Blankets to the Afghan families. In doing so, we opened many doors of friendship in which we used to share the gospel with them. Many are now reading bibles in their (Farsi) languages, and God is doing amazing things. Gawahi Mission Vision of School at Chaman Border city BIG DREAM FOR Afghan Children and families: On August 15, 2021, when the Taliban took control of the Afghanistan government, millions of families ran for their lives. Most went to Pakistan where they felt safe. Officials are estimating that up to 700,000 people could flee to Pakistan if the situation in Afghanistan worsens. It's a crisis that the government says it is unprepared to handle without international assistance and financial support. As we look at these Afghan families coming into Pakistan, we see that the children are targeted for recruitment. We believe that educating these children will help reduce this problem. We would like to start with 1st to 5th graders in Chaman, a border city of Afghanistan and Pakistan. Our goal is to have 100 students in the first year. We will teach them not only general studies but also Bible stories and peacebuilding. We believe in teaching these things so that they have not only an understanding of Jesus but a way to improve their future with their general studies. As I travel the world, I'm passionate about sharing the testimonies I've encountered on my journey of seeking Jesus. For the past few years, I’ve served with Youth With A Mission (YWAM) in Boston, leading social media, managing hospitality, and coordinating evangelistic events. Missionary Nothando Dlamini DONATE Hey everyone! I just want to take a moment to truly thank God for leading me this far on the incredible journey I've been on. From serving with YWAM Mbabane in various ministries to diving deep into Scripture, it has been nothing short of amazing. Over the past three months, I’ve been part of the Discipleship Bible School (DBS) at YWAM Muizenberg, South Africa. This program is all about exploring the Bible and tracing God’s redemptive plan for humanity from Genesis to Revelation. It’s been life-changing to receive fresh revelation about God's character and nature, and to learn solid biblical principles on how to truly live as a follower of Christ. DBS Class This journey has deeply impacted my worldview and challenged me in many areas as a young missionary. I'm filled with gratitude for all that the Lord has done in me during this time. Now after these 3 months, I’m stepping into a new season, leaving my home country of Eswatini to return to YWAM Muizenberg as staff. When you and someone else are “on the same wavelength” your brains are actually oscillating in synchrony with each other—you are literally, both on the same wavelength. This phenomenon happens when people are engaged in conversation, storytelling, or even listening to music together—and this is what happened when Mike, Cultivate’s founder, originally laid out his idea for Cultivate Network to me. Cultivate Network is a mobilizing ministry, where people can encounter Jesus over the dinner table and grow in a small house church within a larger community of thriving house churches. Churches become families within 2 city blocks of each other allowing for micro-interactions that multiply into a real sense of connection. Cultivate desires for the church to rediscover her roots as a spiritual family that, like the book of Acts, “meets daily from house to house”. And this vision of a church family couldn’t be more in line with my own views and way of life. Being in each other's lives allows for deeper growth through proximity. But proximity also means being in each other's faces—in the best of ways. Cultivate doesn’t just want a church that presents an attractive life of connection to other people; we want to present reality to each other. The ups and downs, anger and support, depression and anxiety, and everything in between. I truly believe in the healing that comes through this way of life, centered around the One who brings all healing. Missionary Joshua Watchman DONATE My name is Joshua Tavarion Watchman, I like to go by JT for short! As of October 1, 2023 I became a full time missionary with Circuit Riders! I am from the South suburbs of Chicago, IL. I was raised in a Christian household by my grandparents. They've taught me to walk with the Lord as a little one. I wouldn't be where I am without them. I have such a big heart for evangelism from the moment the Lord saved me. I was in a homosexual lifestyle for most of my life. But God, took me right back to my roots, Jesus, He was my root. I now live for Him and am completely redeemed by his blood! I am currently riding with Circuit Riders. Circuit Riders is a YWAM (Youth With A Mission) mission and training community that shares the love of Jesus with the next generation. Their mission is to save the lost, revive the saved and train them all. I am in the process of building a community of supporters to help me raise monthly support as I go on the Jesus Clubs x Riders Youth '24 tour! I’m Trinity Smithson, a full time missionary with YWAM (Youth With a Mission). “To know God and make Him known”- This simple sentence has changed my life, and now, I am giving my life to it. I have been with YWAM for a little over two years now and will continue until the Lord transitions me somewhere else. I am on staff with a discipleship training school called “Fire and Fragrance”, where students come from all over the world to learn about and be activated into missions. YWAM’s desire, along with my own, is to see young people launched into the ends of the earth for the sake of the gospel. I long to see young people fall in love with what Jesus did on the cross and in response, live a life worthy of that sacrifice. This is what I am dedicating my life to - seeing the unreached become reached, seeing revival released in the nations, seeing young people captivated by the man Jesus, and ultimately, seeing Jesus receive the reward of His suffering.
