This fall, I have the opportunity to attend YWAM (Youth With A Mission). A few years ago, I heard about YWAM through friends at church, and after hearing their testimonies I was instantly inspired and desired to experience it too. Since then, my desire to attend, grow, learn, and serve through this program has only become greater. I can’t wait to see what God has for me on this journey! I will be doing a program called Fire & Fragrance (FFX) in Nashville — a 5-month mission experience focused on growing deeper in relationship with Jesus while being equipped for outreach and missions. FFX is made up of two parts: Lecture and Outreach. Through this program, I will receive practical missions training, grow spiritually, and be sent out to reach people with the love and hope of Jesus. The heart behind Fire & Fragrance is to train and activate people in their passions, skills, and in telling people about Jesus. I truly believe this season will strengthen my faith, challenge me to grow, and prepare me to serve others more effectively. In order to attend, I need to raise $12,000 to cover tuition, housing, outreach expenses, food, and other mission-related costs. Missionary Elliot Jones DONATE Hi!! I'm Elliot! I'm 20 years old and from Charlotte, NC. Ever since high school, God has put missions on my heart. It started when I first heard about Youth With A Mission and after prayerfully considering it, I ended up attending their Discipleship Training School in September 2024, and following that I attended their Discipleship Bible School in September 2025. God really transformed my life through those experiences, taking me from being a lukewarm Christian without a real personal relationship with Him, to showing me His faithfulness and mercy and what it truly looks like to walk out in faith and be called His daughter. I am so excited to announce that I will be serving for a year in Italy with Chad and Kameren Dalton who are missionaries there. I will be helping to share the love of Jesus in a small town called Urbino. I actually first met Chad and Kameren back in 2017 on my first trip to Italy and I remember being so inspired by them even then!! Seeing how involved they were and the work they were doing over there was just really encouraging and so cool to witness. They have been in Italy for over 10 years now and they have such a huge heart for the lost and for telling people about Jesus. I feel so blessed to get to go serve alongside them! Urbino is a university city with a ton of students but really not much of a Christian community there at all, so there is so much opportunity!! We will be opening a café to bring community to a place that really needs it. It is very common in Italy for cafés to have little to no community feel, without really allowing people to hang out and connect. I will be serving coffees and pastries, building connections, getting to know the people there, and helping facilitate worship nights, Bible studies, craft nights, and many more opportunities to build community. I am passionate about cultivating a space that is warm and welcoming, a place where people can experience the grace of God. I will be leaving early July - August to help start up the cafe and training. Prayers are greatly appreciated as I step into this next chapter of missions. Missionary Tavin Ward DONATE Hello, I’m Tavin. I’ve recently been called to staff the Kona DTS at YWAM Kona. Last year, I had the privilege of attending YWAM Kona’s Endeavor DTS, where I had a transformative encounter with Christ. During this time, I was sent to Cambodia to serve refugees affected by conflict with Thailand by teaching English, providing aid, and sharing the gospel. Through this experience, the Lord has instilled in me a sense of identity and a calling to guide and minister to those who are seeking Him and His love. YWAM (Youth With A Mission) is a globally recognized Christian organization. It operates in various countries and offers a Discipleship Training School (DTS) where students from all over the world come together to deepen their faith and walk with Christ. The DTS program consists of three months of training followed by three months of mission work. During this time, students have the opportunity to immerse themselves in different missions, fulfilling the Great Commission. As a staff member at the Kona DTS, my primary objective is to serve and disciple our students. I am also responsible for planning and guiding our team’s mission to a soon to be decided location. This role provides me with a unique opportunity to grow in my calling and live out my passion for spreading God’s love to people from all walks of life. Additionally, the dedicated leadership course that we offer will equip me with the necessary skills and knowledge to effectively lead our students and team. It brings me immense joy and pleasure to witness individuals experiencing the love of Christ and the transformative power of missions. Missionary Teigen Sharp DONATE This past year, l've had the incredible opportunity to attend a Discipleship Training School and a Bible School, and to join two mission teams on trips to Nepal and Papua New Guinea with Youth With A Mission (YWAM). We served in a variety of ways — from disaster relief and medical outreaches to prison ministry, evangelism, Bible translation, and tribal outreach. What has happened in my heart the past year is nothing short of a miracle. I'm beyond grateful to God for opening these doors and to the people who have supported me and stood by me as pillars throughout this journey. I've completely fallen in love with how the gospel transforms hearts, renews minds, and brings true healing to the soul. After much prayer and reflection, l've made the decision to step into full-time missions. I've committed to serve on DTS staff with the YWAM base in Kona, Hawaii for the next two years, and I'm excited to see all that God will do. During these two years I'll be staffing DTS at Kona ships. where our primary goal is to help others encounter Jesus In a transformative way while preparing them to serve the nations. Creating a culture of authenticity, a hunger for the word, and intimacy with Jesus. In between these schools and missions trips, my friends, family, and church have been very kind, generous, and supportive in my fundraising, but l've also been able to work and make money to bridge the gap for my school, and housing fees, as well as my plane tickets. But now that I'm stepping into full time missions, I will have to lean completely on God and support from others. I'll need to raise $800 a month for my staff fees, which will cover all my travel, and room and board. Missionary Izzy Schilthroat DONATE Hello friends!! My name is Isabelle(Izzy) Schilthroat and I have the incredible opportunity to go through Discipleship Training School starting in September 2025. It is all possible through Youth With A Mission! I am a senior in high school and with that comes the next steps in my life. I always thought I was meant to go straight into schooling and get my dream career right away. But God has other plans in store for me. While serving at the restaurant I work at I’ve found so much joy in helping people and bringing a good mood and smile into their day. About a month before my decision on this I had served someone who asked me why I wouldn’t want to go on a mission trip. It got me thinking that maybe my future can wait until later if I have the chance to make even one life better now. I believe that was the Lord in my heart telling me the path I should go down. My mission will include three months spent in Honolulu, Hawaii, where I will develop my relationship with Christ and practice evangelism throughout the island! The next three months will be spent in the nations giving all my time and love to the people and communities around me! We estimated the trip total to be around $8-9 thousand with $6 thousand being the DTS and outreach. I don’t expect to raise everything but as a high school student I can only work part time so everything I make goes towards saving for the cost of schooling and flight tickets . MISSIONARY Cielo Ruiz DONATE Hello, my name is Cielo Ruiz and I am currently a full time missionary with the YWAM Circuit Riders! Our purpose as Circuit Riders is to carry the love of Jesus to university and high school campuses across America. Circuit Riders are devoted bring the love and hope of Jesus to our generation, no matter the cost. Though at times it may not seem like it, we have come to realization that college campuses are some of the most overlooked and unreached places of our generation. We are looking out and seeing the need of those being torn down by the heavy reality of depression, anxiety, self-hatred, amongst other things. We hope to raise up student-leaders on their own campus, raise up other missionaries that would Carry the Love, and see people set completely free. Among the many things I will be doing as a staff member, I will have the immense honor of leading students through our Discipleship Training School and outreach portion, as we travel throughout the U.S. and potentially other countries as we expand. It is also on my heart to see minority communities, including the Latin American community and the African American community highlighted and raised up–especially women! I believe that minority voices have a message to contribute in ways others cannot. I am believing for unity not only among the University campuses, but across the nation. Many ask me why I have given up the things I have for missions, but I can’t sit back and watch when I have the opportunity to GO, fight for other’s destinies, and MAKE change happen. Missionary Emily Roman DONATE Hi guys!! My name is Emily Roman and I’m currently a part of Brave Love women. Brave loves vision is a growing movement and network seeking to awaken women to their Evangelistic voice and missional calling. We are passionate about raising awareness of specific global needs that women can address and equipping them to bring Biblical solutions. Back in January of 2024 I was able to do a Discipleship Training School (DTS) with Brave Love Women as a student, getting trained for 3 months and then in the mission field for 3 months in Africa. In Nigeria we spent 2 weeks with the only other all women’s DTS, Women of Honor. These were women whose husbands had been killed simply for being Christian. We got to sit and hear their stories and serve them. We spent the rest of our time in Guinea Bissau doing Bible distribution by SD cards that contain the Bible in English, Portuguese, and 3 of their tribal languages so that they could understand the Bible in their oral mother tongue. We also did door to door evangelism, and women’s gatherings with both mothers and young women. We were able to go to a local hospital and pray over the woman in the birthing center. I’m now back in Kona Hawaii training to staff and lead with Brave Love Women. HISTORY IS NOT SILENT ON THE POWER OF WOMEN WHO INSPIRED NATIONS BY THEIR PRESENCE ON THE BATTLE FIELD. DEBORAH'S LIFE DESCRIBED IN THE BOOK OF JUDGES IS ONE OF THE MOST PROFOUND BIBLICAL EXAMPLES. HER COURAGE AND OBEDIENCE TO THE LORD CONTRIBUTED TO A TEAM THAT CHANGED THE COURSE OF A NATION. DEBORAH WAS DESCRIBED AS A "BURNING ONE "1 WHOSE SET-APART LIFE ELICITED GREAT SWAY AND FAVOR WITH GOD AND MAN”. ALTHOUGH THEY SEEM WORLDS APART, THE CULTURAL LANDSCAPE OF DEBORAH'S TIME IS NOT VERY DIFFERENT FROM OUR OWN TODAY. The Lord has marked my heart for missions since a young age.
