Missionaries Jonathan & Elyse Kopp DONATE Hi, we're Jonathan and Elyse Kopp. Since 2016, we've had the privilege of co-pioneering YWAM Long Beach. Jonathan comes from the Black Forest in Germany, while Elyse comes from West Virginia, USA. We met while staffing the first Discipleship Training School (DTS) in Long Beach, California. It was here that we became best friends and discovered our shared passion for serving this incredible city and its people. We are now the current directors of YWAM Long Beach and continue to partner with several non-profits in the city. Here’s a little of what we do. Our hearts are deeply rooted in compassion for the marginalized, especially the homeless in Long Beach. Throughout the week, we assist homeless individuals and families in their journey to secure housing, employment, or necessary resources. We walk alongside them, offering practical support, and sharing the love of Christ. Our focus extends beyond material needs, aiming to foster genuine connections and restore hope in those we encounter. Additionally, We are passionate about helping Christians build a strong foundation in their faith, offering mentorship, discipleship training programs, and community groups. We strive to foster a sense of community and belonging, creating a welcoming environment for all who seek to grow in their relationship with God. We are also committed to serving communities, both locally and abroad. We train missionaries and facilitate mission trips that prioritize cultural change, compassion, and share the gospel of God’s love. These experiences not only impact the communities we visit but also transform the hearts of those who participate. We hope to create a space where individuals from all walks of life can encounter the transformative power of Jesus. Where the lost are found, the homeless find shelter and hope, and believers can deepen their faith. Missionary Shelby Reese DONATE Hi! I'm Shelby Reese, a full time missionary with YWAM (Youth With A Mission) in Skien, Norway! YWAM is a non-profit missions organization with a heart to know God and make God known. We want His name known through the nations! There are 3.2 billion people who have never heard the gospel and it is YWAM's vision to leave behind burning ones with the love of Christ everywhere we go. Hopefully, by the time you have, we will already have had a meeting face to face or over the phone! We are currently full time staff with YWAM Fire and Fragrance Nashville. We believe in the original design over Nashville, that it’s meant to be a sending city. God is on the move in our generation and we believe a missions movement is erupting out of Nashville. Our goal is to reach high school and college age students, equip them in the cultures of Jesus, and activate them to the mission field. Both of us experienced our “prodigal years” and have been radically changed and redeemed by God. We want to reach students who are in the same place we were, and offer them the opportunity to enter into the fullness that God has for them. Missionary Daniel Richards DONATE Hi friends! My name is Daniel, and I will be joining YWAM Circuit Riders to attend their Disciple Training School in Huntington Beach, California! Circuit Riders is a missional community that aims to fulfill the Great Commission by training, equipping and discipling this generation to carry the message of Jesus into all the world. In 2022, my life was deeply impacted by the Circuit Riders. God awakened my heart to a desire that's been burning since I met Him - I want to lay my life down so that Jesus is proclaimed in our generation! I will be trained in two specific areas of focus while away - Messenger and Black Voices. In Messenger training, I will be taught how to preach the gospel in different areas and cultures. In Black Voices training, I will be empowered to reach the black community, HBCU's and urban areas! Missionary Nathan Stripling DONATE My name is Nathan, and I’m from Texas. I originally completed my DTS in Canada, where my outreach took me to the Philippines. There, I had the privilege of leading entire auditoriums full of high school kids and college students to Jesus for 2 months. After that incredible outreach, I traveled to Australia to do a School of Evangelism, where I began to develop a deep, burning heart for the lost and unreached. I am now on staff with YWAM Perth in Australia. I am part of an evangelism ministry that reaches the lost and unreached, both within Australia and beyond. In addition, I serve with the School of Evangelism at YWAM Perth, where we currently focus on the Pacific Islands and rural towns across Australia. My heart is fully devoted to teaching, equipping, and sending out students with a passion for seeing the Great Commission accomplished in this generation. Not only that, but I also long to personally be the hands and feet of Jesus in the unreached parts of the world. Which I will be doing by staffing with the school of evangelism each July quarter to train students and evangelize with them in the city of Perth and on outreach. My greatest desire and burning heart is for the entire unreached world to be reached with the gospel. Which I am working to do through teaching, training and equipping students with the gospel of Jesus Christ. However, without the partnership and support of the body of Christ, how will they hear the Gospel? Missionary Jonah Necela DONATE Hey Family and Friends! My name is Jonah, and I’m so excited to share a little of my story with you and how you can take part in what God is doing in and through my life! I became a Christian at an early age, but it wasn’t until I was 15 that I truly encountered the transforming love of God. Jesus radically saved my life and revealed that He is the only One who can truly satisfy my heart. Since then, I’ve had a burning passion to deeply and intimately know Jesus—and to make Him known to all creation. In June 2024, I completed a Discipleship Training School (DTS) with Circuit Riders, a ministry of Youth With A Mission (YWAM). During my time there, I felt the Lord specifically call me to dedicate my life to missions—to reach my generation (Gen Z) and the nations of the earth with the Gospel! 1 John 5:11-12 says: "This is the testimony: God gave us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have the Son of God does not have life." The sad reality is that today, over 3.15 billion people have never heard the name of Jesus. They haven’t yet had the opportunity to know the One who gave His life to be in relationship with them. My vision is to share the glorious news of the Gospel with those who have never heard it—with the lost, the sick, and the broken—so that they too might experience the abundant life found in Jesus . My mission is to inspire my generation to see the reality of the lost and respond boldly, declaring, “That's not okay—not on our watch, not while we have breath in our lungs!” I long to see our generation say an absolute “yes” to Jesus, dedicating our lives wholeheartedly following Jesus and to the fulfillment of the Great Commission! To obey the calling God has placed on my heart: I will be serving with YWAM Lancaster in Pennsylvania. Some of the ministries I’ll be involved in includes: Touring the U.S. : Challenging and encouraging this generation to step into God’s calling with radical obedience and inviting Gen Z to take part in Global missions! Staffing Training Schools : Discipling and equipping young people through YWAM Lancaster’s Discipleship Training Schools (DTS) and Catalytic Bible Schools (CBS) Serving in Worship and Prayer : Worshipping, and leading others into Worshipping Jesus, on the drums! Going to the Nations : Joining outreach teams to take the Glorious Gospel to the ends of the earth! During the five month school God really grew in my heart a love for missions and for the nation's to experience the freedom that I have found in Jesus. I am so so excited to be called to the nations and have decided to continue missions with YWAM. The first step of this is to do a Discipleship Bible School for three months in Italy where I will study the Bible and learn how to apply it to my life as a missionary. After this I will return to New Zealand in September to staff at the base that I did my DTS at for 2 years. For my DBS I need to raise $8000 for tuition, living expenses and flights. Missionary Chrissy McGee DONATE My name is Chrissy McGee. I was born and raised in Fresno, California. I was blessed to grow up in a Christian home. I made the personal decision to follow Jesus at an early age. When I was 17 years old and on a mission trip in Fiji, I heard the audible voice of the LORD one early morning calling me to a life of missions. A few years later, while at a women’s conference, during a time of prayer the Lord gave me a vision of the word “ASIA” in big bright capital letters. I knew right then, that He was indeed calling me to Asia as a missionary. A year after that while praying at church, I heard the Lord whisper to my heart, “Join YWAM”. So, I did. It has now been 15 years since I joined YWAM as a missionary. Since then, I have served in Taiwan, Japan, and other countries in Asia to make Jesus known to those who have never heard. That is the heart of my ministry. Since I first started following Jesus, it has always been on my heart to take the gospel to those who have never heard, to those least reached with the gospel. Japan is such a place. Japan is a nation known and loved for its cars, food, technological advancements, entertainment and culture, but what many do not know is that the Japanese are the 2nd biggest unreached people group in the world. God has called me to Japan to bring the good news of the gospel to those who have never heard. Specifically in rural Japan. In the big cities of Japan like Tokyo, Osaka, and other major cities in Japan, there are numerous amounts of churches and Christians. But in the rural places of Japan there are whole cities and villages without even a single church or even a Christian. And while many missionaries flock to these big cities, Japanese in the rural places are perishing without ever having the chance to meet and know Jesus. In the province of Kumamoto Japan there are few churches outside of the main city. God has called me to be planted in Japan with the mission to reach the unreached and train up others in how to do so as well. This is done by connecting with and building relationships with Japanese people, usually one person at a time. By building friendship, doing life amongst them, and gaining their trust over time we are able to not only share about Jesus with our words but with our life. I hope to see at least one church plant in every single village of Japan and revival spread across the land. So Japan will go from being the 2nd biggest unreached people group to being a reached people group with Japanese missionaries being sent out into the nations. I want to invite you to join me in being a part of what God wants to do in bringing the gospel to the least and unreached in rural Japan. There are a few ways you can be a part of this great work God is doing. 1. You can pray. The spiritual warfare is real. I need all the prayer covering I could get. 2. Financial support. I cannot do what God has called me to do without the financial support of others. Because of generous donors, it leaves me free to totally work to make God known where He is not and to work solely for His kingdom. I need regular monthly support but anything is a huge blessing. I need to raise $1,300 per month to continue to do what God has called me to do.
