Visit - ywamwindhoek.org Warm greetings from a friendly and spacious Namibia! Our story starts with two sub-stories, namely, Archie’s story, and Romé’s story. Before it became ‘our story’, we were two unattached individuals with hearts that were hungry for more than what can be called ‘ordinary’. This hunger was for more of God. Looking back to the beginning of ‘our story’, we count: *Two years of friendship, *Twenty-seven years of marriage (since October 1996), *Thirty-plus years of being in missions (since 1993), *Twenty-five years of parenting (three boys), *Fifteen plus years of Christian school training and teaching ( communityhopeschool.org ), *Four passions: Missions, parenting, family and Christian education, *An uncountable number of memorable moments…some sweet, some not so sweet! The Bible verse, Psalms 16:5 (KJV), comes to mind: “The lines are fallen unto me in pleasant places; Yea, I have a goodly heritage. I will bless the Lord, who hath given me counsel: My reigns also instruct me in the night seasons". Back in 1998, before the birth of our first son, we were deeply impacted through “Growing Kids God’s Way” ( growingfamilies . life), a course in Biblical ethics for parents. Because it was such a highlight, we always hoped to present it to many other parents…for the sake of generations that are still to come. We are keenly aware of the ongoing contributions we still feel called to make. However, in this season, we need to focus on the priority of establishing a functional prayer and financial support team. Having a functional support team will help us taking care of our daily personal needs, and free us to be of greater service and Godly influence as we make use of the ministry and training opportunities that often come our way. Our aim is to be well supported, fully funded, Kingdom-building missionaries! And we trust God for the supporters He has earmarked for us; supporters who see Mark 16:15 as a privilege that deserves to be taken a firm hold of. Are you perhaps one of them? MISSIONARY Noah Quernemoen DONATE Hello! I'm Noah Quernemoen (Q), a full-time missionary with YWAM (Youth With A Mission). Since 2020 I have been serving in Kona, Hawaii, but will soon be moving to serve in Nashville, Tennessee! I work with a circle within YWAM called Fire and Fragrance. We are committed to raising up a generation that carries a fire in their hearts for Jesus that becomes the fragrance of Christ to the lost. I did my DTS (Discipleship Training School) with Fire and Fragrance in 2020 at the University of the Nations in Kona, Hawaii. That is where the Lord placed a burning on my heart for global missions and the fulfillment of the Great Commission! After DTS I spent a year at home. During that season I was blessed to be able to start a small house church with a group of high schoolers. Then in 2022 I heard the Lord calling me back out to Kona to staff the Fire and Fragrance DTS. During this season of staffing I had the opportunity to lead a team of students to the nation of Colombia! Now, I have been blessed with the amazing opportunity to play a role in planting a new Fire and Fragrance base in Nashville, Tennessee! I have committed to serving this base plant for the next 3 years. I, along with the Nashville team, believe Nashville is the perfect place to launch a fresh wave of young people into the nations. This base will be a place for missional training, Bible education, and high school camps such as the Commission Camp. YWAM is a nonprofit and volunteer organization. I am currently on staff with a non-profit called Circuit Riders where our mission statement is to save the lost, revive the saved, and train them all. Every “season” under Circuit Riders looks different— sometimes I am less active due to an autoimmune disease, other times I am planning global tours for the women’s movement, traveling to Europe to teach, or helping with the Discipleship Training School that takes place every Fall and Spring in Huntington Beach. To be frank, I am passionate about so many things— writing, photography, film, etc. As much joy as I find in creating, the greatest gift of my life is getting to be a missionary. Missionary Adam Chessum DONATE My name is Adam, and I serve with FOCUS Military Ministry, walking alongside young men and women as they begin their journey in the Australian Defence Force. I grew up in northeast Victoria and came to trust in Jesus at the age of nineteen. Over the years, I’ve trained in ministry through a Ministry Apprenticeship and study at Moore College, and I’ve served in churches and university student ministry. Now, I am excited to bring this experience to support recruits and trainees as they find their feet, build resilience, and grow in their faith and character. Our ministry is simple and personal: we invest in people. I spend my time listening, mentoring, opening the Bible with those who are keen, and providing a steady presence during some of the most formative years of their lives. Whether it’s meeting on campus, grabbing a coffee after class, or helping a trainee adjust to military life, my role is to be someone they can trust—someone who reminds them they’re not alone. This work happens through meaningful conversations, building relationships, and being present in the lives of those who are preparing to serve our nation. As a small team, we rely heavily on prayer and encouragement from those who care about the spiritual well-being of Defence members. Your prayers genuinely shape the work—military life can change quickly, and wisdom is essential. To keep serving in this space, I also depend on a team of financial partners who believe in what we’re doing and want to make a tangible difference in the lives of recruits and trainees.
