We have been with YWAM Tokyo for about four years starting in 2017, and in 2016, we had our first daughter, Lucy. We are all silly yet passionate people, Katie and I about Jesus and reaching Japan, Lucy mainly about eating, sleeping, and smiling. Both of us serve on the leadership team for our base, and as JP has his US CPA, he also serves as the Finance Director as well as helping lead some Discipleship Training Schools. Katie has embraced life as a mother and is hoping to develop friendships and connections with other moms in our neighborhood and surrounding area. We also have a heart for discipleship, longing to see both nonbelievers meet Jesus and believers walk more deeply with Him. We desire to father and mother people by inviting them into our home and lives, creating a sense of family and belonging. Missionary Mikayla Plett DONATE Hey hey, and thanks for checking out my page! I am Mikayla, and I am going to be attending Circuit Riders YWAM in Huntington Beach, California! This opportunity is the culmination of God speaking over a year and a half. I felt God calling me to YWAM in California after fasting one day. Four months after reaching out to the two bases in Los Angeles and hearing there are no schools for me to attend, I heard about Circuit Riders. I stumbled across them through a local young adults conference, and knew this was the opportunity for me. This school offers its students to pick a skill track, and one of the options is media! I am a photographer, and this made the school incredibly exciting for me. I went to write in my journal, and my last entry from a couple of months prior discussed how I felt God calling me to combine a number of things I was becoming drawn to - studying the Bible, photography, and having community with creative Christians. That’s when I knew that this school was where I needed to be. I will be spending two and a half months in Huntington Beach, California, then two and a half months doing outreach. As of now, we don’t have the locations for outreach yet, but there are options in the U.S., Europe, and South Africa. My choice will depend on the amount of money I am able to raise, and of course where God calls me. The school portion will generally be Biblical teaching and studies in morning, and photography/media projects in the afternoon. The outreach portion will be teams of students going on “tours” in school campuses all over the world putting on conferences and services to share Jesus with our generation using the skills we’ve learned at school. To attend this school and travel on outreach, I have a lofty fundraising goal to reach. - $700 USD housing deposit - $3,500 USD lecture fee - $2,000 USD outreach fee - $5,800 USD flights, food, transportation, etc. Total: $12,000 USD I am currently at almost 20% of my goal, and need 50% by September 1st, and 100% by October 1st! One-time donations are what’s needed the most right now, but if God is calling you to give monthly over the next 6 months to cover my food and transportation, this is also greatly appreciated! Missionary David Ball DONATE Hey there! My name is David Ball, and I am a local missionary in Clemmons, North Carolina! I gave my life to the Lord in the Fall of my Sophomore year in high school, and since then, my goal has been to spread the good news of Jesus to everyone around me! In 2024, a couple of my friends and I started Throneroom Initiative, a ministry that aimed to create a community for believers to come together and worship the Lord in spirit and truth weekly. God blessed Throneroom in mighty ways, and we plan to continue ministering to many high schoolers and college students in the time to come! Walking with the Lord in this time, He has highlighted the spiritual hunger that is developing among the nations. I will be attending the Circuit Riders DTS in January, where I will be enabled to allow so many to quench that spiritual hunger through life in the Lord! I will be attending my lecture phase in January, where I will learn how to lead various-sized worship events and establish local ministry in foreign nations. During this time, I will live in a house in Huntington Beach, California. Then I'll leave in March for outreach! During this phase, a group of us will go to a foreign nation and host worship events, disciple the local people, and enable community leaders to carry on ministering when we leave. Missionary Rebekah Schmidt DONATE Hello! My name is Bekah and I am excited to announce I will be heading to Manila, Philippines to serve with Wipe Every Tear in the fight against human trafficking. I went with Wipe Every Tear for the first time in 2016 and then again recently in May of 2023 (vision trip to go long-term). The vision and leadership at River Valley Church, where I attend, has opened my eyes and heart like never before to the mission field. 42% of the world is considered 'unreached' with very little or no access to a local Christian Church or Bible. Many a part of this group have never heard the name of their Savior - Jesus! I feel specifically called to serve in Southeast Asia in the Philippines. Wipe Every Tear has been there since 2013 and has hired a thriving Philippina staff that manage the safe house ministry as well as the Tayo Collective livelihood program. While I am in the Philippines, I will be shadowing and learning from our Tayo director about jewelry and product production and training, 2024 marketing strategies, advancing in business sponsorships, and jewelry making with girls in our care. I will be helping host American teams that come over on missions trips. I will also do street ministry through food preparation and distribution as well as prayer walks and inviting women into our care. Jesus' great commission of going and making disciples of all nations was never meant to be done alone. I am so excited to see who God will provide as both prayer and financial supporters in this ministry. This is God's vision and dream and we get to say YES to be a part of it! Missionary Eden Oudshoorn DONATE Hey! I’m Eden - currently serving in Amsterdam, The Netherlands, my home town! You may know me from Antioch, Waco, or California! But recently I moved back to Amsterdam to pursue what the Lord has called me to. I am serving with Youth With A Mission (YWAM) in Amsterdam where I am joining the Pursuit/Send team. This is a team that travels across the Netherlands hosting events to mobilize young people into their calling and the mission field. We do this through connecting people to local churches and ministries, sharing testimonies and messages, and ministry during events. I’ve been in college for 2 years now, and I’ve decided to take a pause to listen to what God has been calling me into for a while. In October 2026, I will be moving to Huntington Beach, California to attend YWAM’s Circuit Riders Discipleship Training School. For those who don’t know, YWAM (Youth With A Mission) is focused on knowing God and making Him known, especially among young people who are passionate about sharing Jesus with the nations. Missionary Michayla Evans DONATE Hi Everyone, My name is Michayla Evans, and I am currently located in Denver, Colorado. At the age of 17, on a mission trip to Bolivia, the Lord began to grip my heart for the nations. Little did I know this was just the beginning of the adventure. A year later, I attended Oral Roberts University where I was deeply invested in the ORU Missions and Outreach Department, and there God continued to burden my heart for the nations. In 2021, I took a leap of faith, quit my job, and moved to Uganda, Africa for 6 months. Since then the Lord has increased the cry in my heart, Maranatha, come Lord Jesus come. I have a deep conviction and desire to see every tribe, tongue, and language intimately know Jesus and cry out for His return. I am currently in a season where I have the opportunity to engage in more short-term missions- thank you Jesus. A few months ago I returned from South Africa and it was amazing to witness the power and beauty of the simple gospel transforming people’s lives. I have very exciting news, I am currently heading to Zimbabwe to serve at a community called Eden ! Eden is a holistic community that focuses on caring for vulnerable children and orphans in Zimbabwe. The vision of Eden is, “to care for vulnerable children with the family of Christ, addressing their needs holistically through five integrated pillars: spiritual growth (the Church), intellectual growth (the School), physical wellbeing (the Clinic), physical nourishment (the Farm), wrapped up with the foundation of love (the Children’s Village).” I am overjoyed to be a part of this beautiful community for 6 weeks. I will be gone from February 3rd to March 17th !! I am also very excited because there is a clinic ! Eden uses herbs grown on the farm to treat the children and people at the clinic. This type of ministry aligns with my heart! While on a mission trip to Bolivia in 2012, at a boy’s children's home, I felt God calling me to be a nurse to the nations. I am delighted to finally be able to use my nursing skills while also serving, learning, and growing from this community. Missionary Jennifer Thebe DONATE My name is Jennifer Thebe from Zimbabwe. I have been serving as a full-time missionary with Youth With A Mission (YWAM) for over 25 years. During this time, I have served in different nations around the world, focusing mainly on healthcare ministry and discipleship. Even while serving in other nations, my heart remained burdened for the healthcare needs in my own country, Zimbabwe. I am currently working in one of the rural areas of Zimbabwe called Nkayi, where access to healthcare is very limited. Every month we travel to the villages to provide basic healthcare services and treat minor illnesses for people who cannot easily reach medical facilities. We have partnered with doctors here in Zimbabwe who join us every six months to help treat more complex medical conditions. Through these medical outreaches, many people receive care, encouragement, and hope. Alongside healthcare ministry, I am also passionate about discipling young people, especially those from the villages, so they can carry the vision forward and bring transformation to their own communities. From September 2024 to 2025, I led the first Discipleship Training School (DTS), focusing on helping young people grow in their relationship with God and develop godly character. This year, I am running another DTS, and we are especially excited to train and equip young people from the villages so they can become leaders and agents of change in their communities. Financial support helps us continue reaching vulnerable communities with healthcare and discipleship. Every outreach requires transport, medical supplies, medication, food for the team, accommodation, discipleship materials, and support for training young people through DTS. Many villagers cannot afford medical care or transport to distant clinics, so the mobile healthcare outreaches become a lifeline for them.
