My name is Leighton Nelson, and I will be serving as a full time missionary with YWAM Impact in the Philippines.

I did my DTS ( Discipleship Training School) in 2024 and my heart is still to reach the Filipino people. It deepened my heart for God and for missions.  After my DTS I still felt led to serve in the Philippines. Since 2014, I've started sponsoring a child through an orphanage in Cebu, called Children Shelter of Cebu, which gave me the heart to go to the Philippines, and to reach the orphanages there as well.  

Since i've done my DTS in the Philippines, my heart grew for and to reach the people of the Philippines. Especially among the youth and young adults in the countries. My heart is also to go reach the schools and the orphanages. With YWAM Impact Philippines, I will be able to reach the people in the Philippines and make God known in the Philippines.
