Missionary Paula Navarrete DONATE Hello! I am Paula Navarrete, a full-time missionary with YWAM (Youth with a Mission) Fire & Fragrance ministry in Kailua-Kona, Hawaii. I am more specifically involved under the ministry of Fire & Fragrance within YWAM. The heart of Fire & Fragrance is to train and send young people to the nations to share the gospel. This is my 7th year serving in full time missions (so wild!); my 4th year serving with YWAM as a full time missionary. Over the years I focused much of my training for frontier pioneer missions in the 1040 window. I had lived in the Himalayas for a bit and still pray for many regions to get reached with the gospel of Jesus. My heart’s desire is for the hardest and darkest regions to get reached with the gospel; for bibleless regions to get bibles in their mother tongue; for people to be discipled and trained in the word of God and to share with others what God has done in their life. I also desire to see regions be impacted through community development and see physical change occur in their own hometown- whether that be through education, basic needs being met as well as fitness & health. The past few years I plugged in with the DTS (Discipleship Training School) world and have staffed two F&F DTS schools at the YWAM Kona base. I led a team of students to the nations and shared the gospel, served others in the nation we went to, worship, prayed, interceded and loved on people wherever we went. Whatever I plug in with, my heart burns to train others on how to share the gospel; to see people reached with the knowledge & understanding of His love for us; for the unreached to be reached; for others to be catalyzed in what God has called them to do & to see physical needs met of the regions we go to. Missionary Holly Williams DONATE Hi there! I'm Holly Williams, and I'm looking to join the YWAM (Youth With A Mission) staff in Kona this upcoming spring. I will be involved in a leadership track for three months starting in January. After that, I, along with other co-leaders, will be put in charge of bonding a team of students, and leading them on a three month outreach. YWAM is a missionary school, based on training up missionaries and sending them out into the nations. I will be staffing a Discipleship Training School (DTS), a six month program, focused on growing individuals in their relationship with God, sharing the Gospel, and missionary training. The first three months are in Kona, Hawaii, and the next three months are on outreach. YWAM has two high values: to know God, and make God known. I did my DTS in April of 2022, and it was the best decision I ever made. I had encounters with God, new revelations, and made amazing friends. On outreach, I got to learn to love people like God does, was able to share my testimony, and step out of my comfort zone. I got so much more than I had ever thought possible, and only in six months. Missionary Autie Scott DONATE Hello Everyone! My name is Autumn (or you may know me as Autie), and I am so thrilled to share that I have been accepted, and will be attending a YWAM-DTS in Nashville, Tennessee beginning this October! Over the years of walking with Jesus, the Lord has rescued me from suicidal ideations, depression, anxiety, and addictions that began plaguing me at the young age of 14. He has also brought me peace following the losses of loved ones, including my older brother and my best friend, who passed away when she was 15. It is solely through the love and sacrifice of Jesus that I am able to live free from the chains that once bound me. In the past few years, I have lived in various states across the U.S., including Atlanta, Central Florida, Kansas City, and finally, my hometown on the Illinois side of St. Louis. Throughout these journeys, I joined various churches, from large congregations to small ones, and participated in several young adult ministries. Recently, I have also established an online small group for young women from different states who are new to their faith, guiding and supporting them in their spiritual journeys. I am looking forward to using my past and future experiences to help illuminate God's Glory to other nations. "Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God." 2 Corinthians 1:3-4 (NIV) YWAM, or Youth With A Mission, is an international movement of Christians from many denominations dedicated to presenting Jesus personally to this and future generations, to mobilizing as many as possible to help in this task, and to the training and equipping of believers for their part in fulfilling the Great Commission. DTS, or Discipleship Training School, is a six-month intensive program that serves as an opportunity for students to deepen their relationship with God, guiding them to build the skills, character, and knowledge to bring revival and reformation in all nations. It consists of three months of lectures and three months of outreach mission trips. I am in awe of God’s goodness, to be joining the school called Fire and Fragrance: We will be reaching the lost, people who have never heard the name of Jesus, discipling and activating believers, serving local churches, all to make a deeper long-term impact in their region. These outreaches will be in places like Central Asia, Japan, the Philippines, Paraguay, Africa, and so many more places. The goal is to continue the work of evangelism, prayer, and worship uniting about Jesus and the gospel. The very first step into the ministry God has called me to begin. Your prayers will be greatly appreciated both leading up to my departure and during my time there. Please pray that preparations and travel go according to plan and that all necessary funds come in. Please keep the DTS team in your prayers that myself and the other members will come together and that God will give us wisdom. Lastly, please ask that God prepare the hearts of those we will reach, and that our team will be able to meet the needs of those we meet. In addition to requesting your prayers, I am asking for financial support as I follow God’s calling. I have estimated that I will need to raise about $12,000 by October 1, 2025. Missionary Damaris Friesen DONATE Hi! I am Damaris Friesen I am a full time missionary with YWAM in Brazil (JOCUM Monte das Águias). I serve in a ministry on base called Viva Hope. Viva Hope is a non-profit project where kids from the community inside and outside the base can come and learn: arts, English, ballet, cooking, football and jiu-jitsu. Every day before we teach them about arts or other subjects, we take time to talk about God and tell them Bible stories. Our goal is to transform the community through the children, teaching them how to express their love for God in their daily lives and through arts, ballet, etc. I first came to YWAM in the beginning of 2020 to do my DTS and stayed here ever since. I knew that missions was what God had in store for me, He showed me the need the world had for people that would speak of the truth and teach about His love. This is my fourth year with YWAM and my second year with Viva Hope. It has been a time of a lot of growth. I am expectant to see what else God will do in the community and in my life. Missionary Tina Rocha DONATE Hi! My name is Tina Rocha and i am furthering my journey into full-time missions with YWAM (Youth With A Mission) When I was 15, I had the amazing opportunity to travel to Central Asia for a month to help with a summer sports camp. It was during that trip that the Lord sparked a fire in me for missions—a passion that’s stayed with me ever since. That experience opened my eyes to what it means to serve and love people from different cultures, and planted a seed I knew would grow in time. Years later, after a season of prayer and seeking the Lord, I felt Him say it was time to fully step into missions. I had always wanted to do YWAM, and God led me to the Trailblazers DTS in Kona, Hawaii. That season was truly life-changing. I learned how to deepen my relationship with God, hear His voice more clearly, and walk in obedience to His calling. After DTS, I enrolled in the School of Biblical Studies (SBS) —a 9-month, intensive Bible course that I completed on June 28th . SBS was a time of deep growth, both spiritually and academically. I gained a solid foundation in the Word, developed lifelong friendships, and experienced the richness of seeking God through Scripture with others who were hungry to know Him more. Now, I'm stepping into a new season of staffing a 3-month Bible school , helping others grow in their understanding of the Bible and their walk with God. It’s an incredible honor to pour into students and walk alongside them as they discover the truth and beauty of God's Word—just as others once did for me. This journey has been filled with challenge, growth, and joy—and I’m just getting started. My heart is to continue saying “yes” to God, wherever He leads, and to live a life that makes Him known. Missionary Mayah Beishline DONATE Hi there! My name is Mayah Beishline, and I have been running with YWAM since January 2021! I am passionate about the gospel and the knowledge of the Bible. As Christian's we are commanded to love God and love others, and that is exactly what has become an overflow in my life throughout every season. I feel called to bring the truth of the gospel and the hope of Jesus to a world where truth has become misconstrued and subjective. I also feel called to discipleship, walking alongside other Christian’s and encouraging them in their walk with Christ. I will be attending SBS (School of Biblical Studies) in Lakeside Montana this September! For nine months our school will be diligently studying through the word of God, learning how to hear His voice through scripture, and how to share with those around us WHY we believe what we believe through the lens of biblical truth! Missionary Isaac Fournier DONATE Some of you may or may not know that I am working with media on the YWAM (Youth With A Mission) Base in Norway called Grimerud located about an hour from Oslo in a town called Ottestad. We are a base of about 170 staff. Some of the different roles on our base are finance, maintenance, worship and prayer, hospitality, the kitchen and LT, (a Group of leaders that run the base). We also have people who work with the missionaries that have been sent out from this base, and I am working with media to be able to reach out to people through social media to be able to hear about Jesus and that is just some of the things this base does! One of my jobs in media is working with an Instagram account that is called the Message where we do street interviews and our whole goal is to ask people deep questions about life or faith. We want people to open up to think about the deeper things in life! And hopefully if the Lord leads, we like to share the gospel off camera, and so far working with this team we have seen a lot of fruitful conversations! I am also working on shooting short films and that’s been a lot of fun to learn about that! This is just a bit about the base I am on!! YWAM Grimerud equips missional young people and raises them to live wholeheartedly for God. Our passion is to reach the least reached nations as well as the post-Christian West. We want to cross borders into foreign cultures and all spheres of society. God has spoken to us: “What you hope for in the nations, let it happen here!” Our passion is also to be a part of a national movement in Norway, calling this nation back to God. Our heart beats for revival that brings reformation, a new wave of missions to the nations, and for the unity of the body of Christ. We believe we are a community that is a catalyst to champion new teams and ministries in Norway and the world. Some things I could use prayers for is that it has definitely been a lot to move to another country and leave everything I know, in that I have been so thankful to be here but it can be a bit overwhelming especially jumping into new skill that I am working on! Missionaries Nathan & Lillee Martel DONATE Hey everyone! Our names are Nathan and Lillee Martel, and we want to say thank you for taking the time to read this. Hopefully, by the time you have, we will already have had a meeting face to face or over the phone! We are currently full time staff with YWAM Fire and Fragrance Nashville. We believe in the original design over Nashville, that it’s meant to be a sending city. God is on the move in our generation and we believe a missions movement is erupting out of Nashville. Our goal is to reach high school and college age students, equip them in the cultures of Jesus, and activate them to the mission field. Both of us experienced our “prodigal years” and have been radically changed and redeemed by God. We want to reach students who are in the same place we were, and offer them the opportunity to enter into the fullness that God has for them. This is our heart, but we need your help to make it happen! In order to be able to do ministry full-time, we need an income. That’s where we rely on the body of Christ!
