Jake Brookbank, originally from Akron, Ohio, has been serving as a full-time missionary since 2019. After three impactful years in Mexico, God led him to Brazil in 2023, where he now works closely with Zion Church and Dunamis Movement. Zion Church’s mission is to make disciples and develop leaders as a local church, while Dunamis Movement focuses on empowering the next generation through the Holy Spirit to bring about social transformation.

Currently based in Recife, Brazil, Jake is at the forefront of building Zion Church in the region. He leads RISE, the youth ministry for Zion Church with 2 others, which serves adolescents aged 12 to 17. His passion is to see the youth in northeastern Brazil grow into strong, dedicated, healthy leaders. Through RISE, Jake is working to expand the church's influence and establish a solid foundation of leadership within the community of Recife. His work is not just about growth in numbers but about deep, transformational discipleship that prepares young people to serve God wholeheartedly as they transition into adulthood.

To continue ministry, Jake relies on the generous support of others. The needs are practical—food, housing, transportation, and funds to spend quality time with the students and leaders he is discipling. Beyond financial support, Jake earnestly requests prayer for divine wisdom in guiding these young leaders, for God to accelerate the ministry and bring the right adolescents into their midst, and for his personal growth and favor as he navigates this calling.
