Missionary Huijin Jeong DONATE I am Huijin Jeong, a missionary with YWAM (Youth With A Mission). YWAM began with the vision of waves in Habakkuk 2:14; young people spreading across the nations like waves. Today, YWAM trains and commissions people of all generations, especially young people, to share the Gospel across the world. YWAM’s foundational training program is the Discipleship Training School (DTS), designed to equip people with a biblical worldview in contrast to the false values of the world, raising up disciples who live for the Kingdom of God. In April 2023, I did my DTS at YWAM Lausanne, Switzerland, and in December, I graduated from the Discipleship Bible School (DBS). DBS is a three-month program where students and staff read through all 66 books of the Bible in community, discovering God’s character and His redemptive plan. After nine months of training, I came to understand that true joy is found in following truth and living for the Kingdom of God. In September 2024, God called me to serve as a translator in a bilingual (Korean-English) DBS school. As a translator, I translated three hours of lectures daily and small gatherings, and worked on translating lecture slides. Through this experience, I discovered profound joy in serving where God had called me. It was during this time that I found God’s calling as a missionary. God gave me many promises in His Word, so I chose to obey. However, I still found myself struggling to fully surrender in obedience, so I laid my heart before God. In response, He spoke clearly that He would make me grow as a leader who actively listens to His voice and obeys with faith through the SPL (School of Pioneering Leadership) at YWAM Château in Savigny, Switzerland. Through SPL, I am learning various leadership tools, including fundraising, active listening, and Jesus’ ministries. Continuing from my DBS experience, I am also serving by translating lecture materials, media content, and lectures—further developing my skills and deepening my growth. In this journey of obedience, YWAM missionaries rely on God for financial provision. YWAM'ers do not expect a salary but instead dedicate themselves, their time, and their gifts to God for the sake of ministry. Missionary Uriel Synod DONATE Hi, my name is Uriel, and I’m a 23-year-old full-time missionary preparing to return to Australia for 18 months of ministry. After spending six months overseas last year serving in full time missions, I’ve seen firsthand how God moves through surrendered lives. I’m passionate about seeing people come alive in their faith, be discipled, and walk in freedom. This next season will take me deeper into that calling as I join a ministry training base that focuses on equipping young people to know God and make Him known in the nations. While based in Australia, I’ll be serving in discipleship training, local outreach, and international missions. The rhythm of my time there will include two extended mission trips, each about three months long, where we’ll travel into unreached or spiritually hungry regions to share the gospel, meet practical needs, and make Jesus known. When I’m not on outreach, I’ll be investing in the lives of students through mentorship, leading Bible studies, and helping create a culture of worship and prayer on base. It’s a full, beautiful, and challenging life, and I wouldn’t trade it for anything. I’m walking into this season fully surrendered, knowing I can’t do it alone. As a missionary, I don’t receive a salary, so I rely entirely on the Lord’s provision through the generosity of people who believe in the mission. My monthly expenses cover housing, food, ministry costs, and travel for outreaches. Beyond finances, I deeply need a covering of prayer, for protection, for boldness, and for God to move powerfully through every conversation, every teaching, and every moment of obedience. I am a part of an interdenominational Christian training organization called Youth With A Mission. The heart of YWAM is to first know God, then to go and make Him known! I remember being before the Lord all day crying out to him because, a man 6 years older than me was doing everything for his God and I, who believe in Jesus, was just at home playing the “Cute Christian” game. That was the day I decided enough was enough. Isaiah 6:8 became my heart response unto God saying “God, here am I. Missionary Milena Aguilera Lopez DONATE Hi! My name is Milena Aguilera! I am 20 years old currently serving in Asia, Hong Kong with YWAM Gateway! I met my boyfriend (Agustin) here and we feel that God is calling us to stay in Hong Kong and from here mobilize to different countries in Asia. How did I get to missions? I was born in Puerto Rico and raised in YWAM Argentina. My family including my parents: Julio (Argentine) and Sheila (Puerto Rican), and my siblings: Briana and Santiago (Both Argentine), served as a missionary family full time in Argentina but later in 2014 God called us to move to Puerto Rico to start a YWAM base. So, we moved to Puerto Rico, the country I was born in, but didn’t know that much about and later ending up loving. We continue to serve the Lord, trusting in Him for everything. We have a lot of opportunities to serve the elderly, kids, youth and families and that is when I realized I want to continue to share God’s word and show it in a practical way, not just words. Why Hong Kong? When I turned 18, I wanted to do my DTS (Discipleship Training School) but I didn’t know where. That year my Godmother (she serves in HK with her husband and children) came to visit us and told me everything about YWAM in HK. In the beginning it was a NO for me, I was so scared and it was really far away from Puerto Rico. But as I prayed I felt God telling me more and more to go to Hong Kong. So suddenly I felt peace and excitement. That is when I decided to go. Now being here, I realize that people really need God. Some people have never heard about Jesus! And a LOT of them worship their ancestors. I know God sent me here to be a difference and for people to know Him! What I am planning to do in Hong Kong? Now with my boyfriend Agustin we feel really called to be here in Hong Kong. This is really a Gateway for all Asia and it is really easy to enter other countries. God is constantly reminding us that worship brings a breakthrough and that is what we want to continue to do, bring people closer to God with our songs and worship. Not only that, we also feel called to work with new generations (Babies, Children, Youth, Families). The key of transforming a nation is through them! Missionary Corrin Smucker DONATE I'm Corrin Smucker and I'm a missionary and student with Youth With a Mission (YWAM) in their School of Biblical Studies (SBS)! SBS is a 9 month intensive Bible school geared towards studying the Bible inductively and preparing you to teach. As an outcome of this school I will have written my own commentary on the entire Bible to leverage in teaching and kingdom building. In the future I plan to pursue my masters in Theology to bring the word to the academic, creative and business sector of society. I feel a call to bridge the gap between art and faith and teach others how faith has so broadly shaped arts as we know it today, this school is the first step towards that. While in SBS I will be living on the YWAM Amsterdam base spending 9+ hours a day in the word and pouring into the surrounding city through the Send, red light ministry and evangelism. I have such a heart for cities and Amsterdam is a city truly in need of the gospel! In a place of such rich art and freedom of expression they are so desperate for the true freedom the gospel brings! While in SBS, I have been blessed financially through my previous job and am primarily supporting myself (including tuition), but am hoping to close the gap by raising about $600 a month of living expenses to cover my basic needs.
