Missionary Karis Gaponiuk DONATE Hello! My name is Karis Gaponiuk. I’m 23 years old from Vero Beach, Florida, USA. Some things about me are that I love music, travel, chocolate, and coffee! I am a sailing coach by profession, but my heart and passion is for missions, worship, and discipleship. God brought all my passions together beautifully over the past couple years to lead me to the beautiful country of Albania. I am currently living in Durrës, Albania, as a full-time missionary with Youth With A Mission. During the time I did the YWAM Discipleship Training School here in Durrës, which ran from January to June of 2023, I felt God calling me back to be an active witness to the work He is doing in the country of Albania. I am excited and preparing to plant myself long term in this community, serving this nation as long as the Lord intends! We at YWAM Durrës are an international group of Jesus followers who live and serve communally on our base. We believe that God is bringing revival to the nation of Albania, and that God intends to use the historically strategic city of Durrës to bring about His work! We also believe in training, equipping, and raising up the young generation of Albania and also the world. We run 3 Discipleship Training Schools a year, as well as a Discipleship Bible School. We also pour into the community through English clubs, youth meetings, working with local schools, prison ministries, home visits, investing in local churches, and other ways. We also host church and YWAM teams from all over the world who join us in these ministries. Currently, I am a student in our ongoing Discipleship Bible School, and I hope to continue working with DBSes here on base in the future. My main role here on base has so far been to work with our DTSes and the worship ministry. It’s such a blessing to be both witness and part of God’s work here, so I'm excited to see what this next season looks like for me, post-DBS! Missionary Jacqueline Clark DONATE My name is Jacqueline Clark and I serve as a missionary with Youth With A Mission (YWAM) in Kona, Hawaii. I am here because when I look at where our culture is headed, I see relativism and that how you feel is what’s true. I see as a result of this, a generation that is confused, doesn’t know their identity, anxious, and suicidal. I get to disciple this next generation with a Biblical worldview just as I was trained here at YWAM Kona. This is how missionaries will be sent out to spread truth to people who have never heard the gospel. We will also go out to people who have heard the gospel but who have been discipled by culture and are living in bondage instead of freedom! While on staff with YWAM, I get to invest in the local community, serve missionaries being trained and sent from our base, study The Bible, and learn how to walk in the calling God has placed on my life. He has created me to lead movements of worship and intercession that host His presence. God has given me His heart to see people set free from fear, insecurity, and suicide. He has given me vision for ending human trafficking, child marriage, FGM, and violence against women. YWAM has over 30,000 people on staff worldwide. From the CEO to the cafeteria staff, nobody is getting a paycheck. This allows for us to have a much more widespread impact and walk in obedience to whatever God says! No matter how big or small of an assignment He may call us to in any given season. MISSIONARY Alvin Muthoka DONATE On November 13th, 2015 The Lord called me into full-time missions. That day was the day of the massacre that happened in Paris. I remember being before the Lord all day crying out to him because, a man 6 years older than me was doing everything for his God and I, who believe in Jesus, was just at home playing the “Cute Christian” game. That was the day I decided enough was enough. Isaiah 6:8 became my heart response unto God saying “God, here am I. SEND ME.” My heart burned all the more to go and use every gift given to me to win the lost for Jesus! 8 months later I moved out to Huntington Beach, California and left behind my career path as an IT Professional to become a full-time musicianairy (musician/missionary) with an organization called The Circuit Riders. The heart behind Circuit Riders is to shift culture and win the lost with the Gospel, shared in radical love! Our primary focuses are college campuses and high schools! Now more than ever, we need this! I refuse to sit quiet and dormant while my generation is hurting and broken. People are dying and I’ve got the message of hope they need! I WILL GO! MISSIONARY Ellie Morem DONATE Hello! I have been with Youth With A Mission (YWAM) for the past year now. I completed my DTS with Fire and Fragrance in Kona and God completely transformed my life! For outreach phase, I went to Peru and served and shared the gospel in the Amazon River tribes. We also joined Circuit Riders (CR) for an evangelism tour in the Northeast region of America. Right after my DTS, I continued to join CR for their second leg of tour in the PNW region and did their leadership training called, “21 Project” in California. I am currently staffing the Fire and Fragrance DTS in YWAM, Kona. While I am here I have the honor of growing in my leadership skills and working with the YWAM Dance program as well. We are spending 3 months serving the base as staff members, discipling students, and teaching kids how to practically live out the gospel. After lecture phase, I will lead a team into America to put into action what the students learned during their lecture portion. At college campuses in the states, we will partner with “Carry The Love” and CR in going out in evangelism, and putting on worship events. As a missionary, I raise my own support and have faith the Lord will provide for me every month! I am so thankful for anyone who considers supporting me any one-time or monthly amount. I’m Danielle I’m a full-time missionary with Fire and Fragrance South Africa, a movement committed to raising up a generation that carries a deep love for Jesus and lives as a fragrance of Christ to the lost. Right now, there are over 3 billion people who have never experienced the power of the Gospel or the love of Jesus. As believers, we have the incredible honor of partnering with what God is doing on the earth and seeing the unreached reached—and that’s what led me to South Africa. What I’m Doing in South Africa I serve full-time with a local ministry called Woven. Woven exists to address areas of injustice in our community by sharing the Gospel, making disciples, and creating practical, life-giving solutions. Our heart is not only transformation, but multiplication—activating believers to respond to the needs around them. Our team works closely with women in prostitution in our town, walking with them, sharing the love of Jesus, and creating space for healing, restoration, and new life. We have seen women encounter God and experience real, lasting transformation. We have also seen God move powerfully among the men in the area, bringing conviction, healing, and hope. We are believing for revival in a place long known for darkness, and we are already witnessing God at work. Missionary Delaney Gowin DONATE Hello, my name is Delaney Gowin. I attended the Discipleship Training School (DTS), Fire and Fragrance, at the Youth with a Mission (YWAM) base in Kona, Hawaii. YWAM is an organization that equips young individuals with tools and opportunities to spread the gospel and live a life fully surrendered to the Lord. As stated on YWAM’s website, “YWAM is a global movement, full of young people driven by a passion to know God and make Him known.” Before starting my DTS in the fall of 2019, I was anxious, lost, and unaware of what a relationship with Jesus looked like. Fire and Fragrance redirected my focus to the Lord and gave me tools to pursue Him in a deeper way. Through lectures and one-on-ones, the leaders taught me how to hear God's voice, spread the gospel, and the importance of studying the bible. I then discovered that it is He who defines me, sets me free, calls me to live higher, and is my strength when I am weak. During my DTS, the Lord placed the desire in my heart to spread the gospel to the youth of the world. A passion grew in me to see this next generation walk out in complete freedom with God. Missionary Shanyse Rushemeza DONATE Hi! I'm Shanyse, and I love to write (amongst other things). I grew up in Lancaster, PA (no, I'm not Amish). I grew up in a vibrant Latino household filled with music and constant dancing. I love being Puerto Rican. At any given moment you could hear Salsa, Merengue, Hip-Hop , Rap, R&B , Jazz or Pop music. At the age of 12 my life was radically transformed by Jesus. I was saved in my pre-teens and never looked back. Oh it has been a journey but I do not regret the decision I committed to. As I began to get involved in whatever I could at church, I fell in love with praise and worship. I loved writing, singing and learning anything pertaining to it. I began to write and record music and got exposed to a lot of different areas in the Christian music world. I have been leading worship since I was a teenager and I don't think that's going to change anytime soon. I am a self-taught photographer and I have been doing photography for over 10 years now. It has been such a great ride! I love being creative and this is especially one of those great outlets. Later on in life I fell in love with a man by the name of John Rushemeza. After, waiting patiently and setting myself apart, I said yes to my African King. What a gift! We cannot wait to visit his country! I have a great desire to travel for the Lord. I have been on many missions trips through Light of Hope. Last November I just went on my 7th trip for the Lord. Soon I discovered my love for writing should be used for a greater purpose.I write about all kinds of things pertaining to life, struggles and finances. So here I am, being brave and with it all .
