The SBS is a nine-month course for students who’ve completed their Discipleship Training School (DTS) and desire to go deeper in knowing God through His Word. It’s an intensive journey through all 66 books of the Bible, where students discover that Scripture is one continuous story of redemption, justice, and love. By the end of the course, students gain a biblically grounded worldview and a more personal understanding of God's character and His purposes. We are committed to leading and discipling students in this program by equipping them to walk in truth and bring transformation to the areas God is calling them to influence. We ask for your prayers as we navigate this season, specifically for God’s grace, provision, and wisdom in areas like visas, housing, and finances. At times, these needs can feel daunting, but we are holding on to God’s promises. He is faithful, and by faith, we know He will make a way. Missionary Keslyn Peterson DONATE Hi, all! My name is Keslyn Peterson and for the last two years, I’ve been serving as a missionary with YWAM (Youth With A Mission). The heartbeat of YWAM is to “know God and make God known”. Since saying YES to God to serve as a long term missionary in 2021, I have completed a first year school called DTS (Discipleship Training School) and a secondary school called SBS (School of Biblical Studies) with YWAM. Over the course of these 2 years, I have had the absolute blessing and privilege to preach the gospel, serve, and intercede in Hawaii, Egypt, Djibouti, Mexico, Australia, and Fiji! But this is just the beginning… During DTS, our ministry primarily focused on street evangelism, serving at risk youth, and and prayer walks through Muslim nations (Egypt & Djibouti), and we ended our time with a school debrief in Mexico, where we saw many salvations, baptisms, and healings! During the 9 month intensive course of SBS, we read and studied all 66 books of the Bible 5 to 7 times through, and applied what we had learned with an additional 2 month outreach to Fiji, where we taught the Inductive Bible Study Method to churches, pastors, and elders. So, what’s next??? I’m glad you asked! Since joining YWAM, God has gripped and burned my heart for long term missions. It was in the fall of 2022 that the Lord placed the nation of India on my heart. Confirmation after confirmation, He began opening doors and divine connections for me to pursue this calling with a trip to India in 2024!!! During this trip, my prayer and hope is to go and experience the people, culture, and diverse ministry options that the Lord may be calling me into. I am SO excited & expectant to see all that the Lord has on his heart for His bride of India. Matthew 28:18-20 says to GO & MAKE DISCIPLES OF ALL NATIONS, baptizing them in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit… I am dedicated, passionate, and am willing to sacrifice my whole life to see the Great Commission finished. Please pray and ask the Lord if He is opening this door as an opportunity for you to partner with me to serve & see the nation of India saved. MISSIONARY Shanti Shrestha DONATE I became the first believer in my family 11 years ago. At that time, I was on a bus going to the hospital because I had been sick for a long time. On the bus, I heard a Christian woman talking to her friend about the healing power of Jesus. I had tried everything… medicine, witch doctors, and praying to all my gods, but nothing worked. That night I prayed to Jesus and He healed me. My whole family was Hindu and now many of them are believers. My life was changed. I wanted to learn more about Jesus so I could share with others. A few years later, I joined a 2 year YWAM internship and then I did my Discipleship Training School. For the past five years, I have been leading treks to remote villages, sharing the gospel with the unreached, and training believers. I have just completed a Bible Training program to be better equipped for all that God has for me in the future. My heart burns for all the people of Nepal to know Jesus. I often find myself on a bus somewhere telling the person next to me about how Jesus changed my life. Everywhere I go I want to share about Jesus. Many people in Nepal have never heard the Gospel, so someone needs to tell them. My life is for Jesus and His ministry. I will continue to work with YWAM, leading teams in ministry and taking them trekking. I often go to a small fellowship in the slum to encourage and pray for the people there. Every weekend I travel 3 hours to go to my church in the village. A few years ago my pastor moved and there was no one to lead our church so I have been helping as there is no one to lead. Every week I visit members of my church and encourage and pray for them. I feel so blessed to be able to do ministry and help build God’s kingdom. I will lay my life down to reach the Lost people of the Himalayas who have yet to hear the Gospel for the first time, but I can’t do it alone! Missionary Ervis Rustemi DONATE Hello friends!! My name is Ervis Rustemi and I'm a missionary with Fire & Fragrance in YWAM (Youth With A Mission). During my Discipleship School in Norway, I wasn’t quite sure what life after DTS would look like. As I asked Jesus to show me, He began to stir up my heart for Albania. To confirm this call to serve in my home country, God gave me a ton of words about Albania through other people. Many of them were literally the same! I decided this must be where God was leading me. I moved back to Albania and began serving God as a full-time missionary here with YWAM Fire and Fragrance Albania! I know that revival is coming, and that God is raising up this generation for his glory. The youth of Albania will bring change not only to Albania, but across the globe. I am realizing that God has placed a unique design in the Albanian people. They have a warrior spirit to fight for what they believe in, as well as a motherly spirit that is willing to do anything for those that they love. They also have a powerful prophetic voice that the enemy tried to silence through communism. Our team’s desire is to see young people encounter the presence and love of God through prayer, worship, and evangelism. Missionary Lina Katoanga DONATE Hey everyone!! My name is Kolina (Lina) Katoanga and I am currently volunteering in Fiji with Youth With A Mission (YWAM), a mission sending organization that allows for all ages and people groups to reach all ages and people groups! After graduating high school early, I followed where I felt the Lord leading me and ended up in New Zealand to complete YWAM’s Discipleship Training School, spending 3 months learning in New Zealand followed by 2 months serving in the Philippines! During my time in New Zealand, I experienced spiritual growth and formed lasting God-centered relationships. And serving in the Philippines opened my eyes to different cultures and their need for Jesus and His hope. Now, as I step foot in the Pacific Islands, I desire to foster an environment for locals to be trained to be sent to the ends of the Earth as well as their own backyard through the pioneering and staffing of a completely new YWAM base that God miraculously provided in Suva alongside a group of God-fearing leaders. Through the Lord’s guidance, this base will prioritize accessibility for local Fijians. Students have the option to pay with goods, like cassava or chicken, for tuition, housing, food, and outreach. Students and staff will together be completely trusting God's provision and sovereignty as well as the words we’ve heard spoken. Your support in prayer for our ministry is greatly appreciated as my team and I navigate any challenges that may arise. The Lord has given me a massive heart for the least reached places of the world, places that have no access to the gospel. My heart breaks knowing that around 55 million people die each year without hearing the gospel. My goal is to see the GREAT COMMISSION FINISHED! Through YWAM I am able to disciple and lead teams across the world bringing Jesus to ears that have never heard it. My name is Megan Harnish, and I am going to be a part of YWAM's (Youth With A Mission) Fire & Fragrance DTS in Potchefstroom, South Africa starting in January 2023. The heart of YWAM is to know God and make Him known. The vision of the Fire & Fragrance Discipleship Training School is "To train young people to carry the FIRE of intimacy of Jesus, along with the FRAGRANCE of Christ to the nations through bold, powerful, Spirit-filled evangelism." After three months of Biblical study, teachings, corporate worship and prayer, I will have the opportunity to use what I've learned on a 3 month outreach that is yet to be determined.
