Missionary Makeila Bunker DONATE Hi hi! I'm Makeila! I am a full-time missionary based out of Brisbane, Australia and I am currently working with the Youth With A Mission or YWAM base there. In 2023 I went to Costa Rica for a missions trip with my youth group. When I was there I fell in LOVE with missions. The Lord gave me a very big heart for missions and to see His people saved. That year I had to finish my last year of high school and I had no idea where I was going next. The summer of 2024 I went to a youth camp with my youth group and I was asking the Lord to show me what He wanted me to do next. HE DID!!! One night He spoke so clearly to me "I want you to go to the nations!". In the fall of 2025 I joined YWAM Brisbane and I began my work in missions. I started in their discipleship program and I was part of a missions team that went to the Solomon Islands. Again, I fell in love with missions. Youth With A Mission was founded in 1960 by Loren Cunningham with a focus on bringing young people into missions. Now it is one of the largest Christian missionary organizations in the world with over 18,000 staff worldwide. A global movement of Christians from different cultural backgrounds, age groups and denominations. Currently working in more that 1,100 locations in over 180 countries. YWAM Brisbane's vision is to be a powerful and transformational community of believers, to minister God’s love in the local community, rural & coastal Queensland and to the ends of the earth. YWAM Brisbane is passionate about pioneering ministries all across the world. My specific ministry will be staffing the Discipleship Training School (DTS). The DTS is designed to train and equip young people to be able to evangelize, serve, and go on outreaches. I will be meeting one-on-one with students, planning and organizing overseas outreaches, leading teams overseas on outreach, and spending a period of time serving in a logistical position on the YWAM base. I will be leading small groups, worship and intercession. As a missionary I rely on the Lord for everything; leadership, community, encouragement, and even finances. I know that the Lord has moved in my life by the prayers of many. I am so encouraged by the faithfulness of the people who pray for me. I need believers to pray for me always. Pray for strength and wisdom always. In YWAM, we are all responsible for our own funding. This means that I rely on the Lord's provision. I believe that the Lord can and DOES provide miraculously but I also believe that the Church body is a big way that the Lord provides. Missionary Ervis Rustemi DONATE Hello friends!! My name is Ervis Rustemi and I'm a missionary with Fire & Fragrance in YWAM (Youth With A Mission). During my Discipleship School in Norway, I wasn’t quite sure what life after DTS would look like. As I asked Jesus to show me, He began to stir up my heart for Albania. To confirm this call to serve in my home country, God gave me a ton of words about Albania through other people. Many of them were literally the same! I decided this must be where God was leading me. I moved back to Albania and began serving God as a full-time missionary here with YWAM Fire and Fragrance Albania! I know that revival is coming, and that God is raising up this generation for his glory. The youth of Albania will bring change not only to Albania, but across the globe. I am realizing that God has placed a unique design in the Albanian people. They have a warrior spirit to fight for what they believe in, as well as a motherly spirit that is willing to do anything for those that they love. They also have a powerful prophetic voice that the enemy tried to silence through communism. Our team’s desire is to see young people encounter the presence and love of God through prayer, worship, and evangelism. Missionary David & Augusta Barreto DONATE David and Augusta Barreto have been missionaries with YWAM since 1995. They worked in the favelas of Rio de Janeiro for 23 years, serving families through community development projects, evangelism, missionary training, and mobilization and training for evangelism during the FIFA World Cup and the Olympics. They served seven years with YWAM Richmond, working in training, evangelism, and mobilization. From there, they served in Turkey, Greece, Lebanon, and Mongolia, evangelizing, distributing Bibles, and helping war refugees. Currently, they continue with YWAM in Brazil, working on missionary mobilization, focusing on family restoration and counseling couples. Missionary Charlise Brossard DONATE Hi y'all, my name is Charlise! I grew up in a Christian home my whole life, but it wasn't until I was in middle school that I had a desire to pursue the Lord on my own, and no longer rely on my parent's faith. I immediately fell into a mindset of thinking that I needed to complete a sort of "to do list", so that the Lord would love me, but I was very wrong. It wasn't until the Lord met me at a very low point in life, when I was struggling with sexual sin and self-hatred, that I realized that God desired a personal relationship with me and loved me more than I ever could imagine. Since then, the Lord has helped me walk in my journey of restoration, healing, freedom and purity. I have grown so much in my intimacy with Him and in my love for others, and now I am on a journey to becoming a long-term missionary. I have a heart to see others experience the transforming and unlimited love of God, like I did. I recently finished doing a Discipleship Training School (DTS) with YWAM, in Kona Hawaii, where I spent three months learning more about the Lord and how to share the gospel with others, after which I spent three months on an outreach in the Philippines. When I was in the Philippines, I was able to experience the Lord's heart in a way that I never had before. I was able to feel His overwhelming love for the Philippines and how much God truly cares about each and every Filipino, and desires to meet every single one of them in such a personal and loving way. Now, I am continuing my journey with YWAM, and I will be going back to Kona Hawaii to attend a Leadership Training School as preparation to staff there for 2 years. While I was with YWAM I traveled to Albania for three months to share the gospel. While I was there my team saw 7 salvations, 30 healings, and shared the gospel over 500 times! Since being home, God has put full time missions on my heart. I have been praying a lot lately and felt God say "Go back and staff at YWAM". So this October I will be moving to Norway to get leadership training, I will then move to Kona Hawaii to staff. After that, I will be leading a team to a foreign nation. MISSIONARY Lysen Storaasli DONATE I am ministering full-time to the nations with Bethel Church Missions Department! I first felt the presence of the Lord in 1999 and was immediately ruined for anything less than ALL of Him. His friendship was so good I began wondering what my part could be in reaching people with the love I had encountered. As I sought Him, I began to sense a call to missions that was first confirmed in 2003 on a trip to Ukraine. Since then, the Lord has cultivated within me a heart for motherless children, a passion to pastor all generations into intimate connection with Jesus, and to carry a portal to the eternal hope in Jesus to those who feel like they are drowning in grief. I have been to Uganda, South Africa, Israel, Cambodia, Mexico, Haiti, Vietnam and across Europe seeing people encounter the love of God and be transformed in His presence. I am now working in full time ministry after doing countless short-term mission trips over the last 22 years, 15 years of dedicated work as a nurse in pediatric oncology and three years of Bethel School of Ministry.
