Missionary Mitchell McConville DONATE Hi! My name is Mitchell, and I'm the Prayer & Missions Pastor at Great Lakes Church in Sterling Heights, Michigan! I have the privilege of serving here full-time and raise my own support in order to do so! The Metro Detroit area has such a diverse community of people, many of whom, do not know Jesus. Reading through the New Testament letters to the churches, especially Acts, I'm so burdened to see Revival and Awakening in our day, in our city! There are so many families in our communities that are hurting, broken, and lost without the knowledge and love of Christ, and we can make a difference! Additionally, Gen Z is the least Christian generation in decades! Out of 70 million, kids, teens, and young adults, only 4% believe in a Biblical Worldview (Barna 2016). Just as I am believing for Revival in this region, my heart burns for my generation! There are multiple schools right down the street full of students who don't have a relationship with God. I am deeply passionate about discipling young people and leading them to Lord and I am believing that Gen Z will be a generation set on fire for Christ! For me, knowing God, walking in His presence, and experiencing life change has completely shaped the past 10 years of my life. When I was 12, I got saved at the first youth camp I went to. I encountered the presence of God for the first time in my life and I was never the same since, transformed in a moment yet continually being transformed by God day by day! I've endeavored to always share that with those around me, walking alongside them and leading them according to the truth of God's Word. That's my heart for Gen Z as well as all of us living here in the Metro Detroit area, that they would know God, walk in His presence, and experience the life change that only He has to offer! As our Prayer & Missions Pastor, my primary roles are in organizing and leading our weekly prayer services, prayer outreach events, and building teams as we prepare for missions trips, our first of which will be in the city of Mazatlán, Mexico, building a home for a family displaced by the cartel! I also serve as a leader for our youth group and lead our tech team. All of these areas help our church to operate and flow smoothly while we effectively reach this generation and the Metro Detroit area for Christ! MISSIONARY Sydney Enloe DONATE Missions have gripped my heart since I was a young girl. I felt the call to be a missionary when I was just a freshman in high school. Not knowing what a missionary even meant or entailed, I said yes to a life of steadfast obedience to Jesus and radical joy. That yes years ago has led me to Circuit Riders, a movement birthed from YWAM Kona whose mission is to love and pursue the unreached people group in America – college students. After four life changing months of discipleship school and 4 months of abundantly fruitful outreach, I have felt the Lord invite me into another year with Circuit Riders. The next year, I will be helping plan and lead our Carry The Love tour. Most of my time until tour will be spent on college campuses meeting students, planning the logistics of touring across America, creating media with the CR media team, serving at my local church, and focusing on loving the person in front of me while giving Jesus my yes everyday. Circuit Riders is all about Jesus. We live to see a generation of catalysts rise up from their grave clothes and walk in the freedom of knowing Jesus and knowing their identity in Him. Missionary Rachel McGovern DONATE Hi! My name is Rachel McGovern, I’m 21 years old and from Alaska :) I’m currently a part of YWAM (Youth With A Mission) whose vision is to know God and to make God known. I’m enrolled to start a 3 month Bible school in April with YWAM Amsterdam, followed by an outreach to the nations. My calling from the Lord is to see my generation fall in love with Jesus and be marked as a generation of joy and boldness not addiction and fear. To help steward this vision, God has called me into a season of studying and immersing myself in his Word. During my time in Amsterdam I’ll also be asking God for direction on what’s next. God has been so faithful to provide for me as I’ve been taking these steps of faith into ministry. I’ve been so encouraged by the generosity of the body of Christ, which enabled me to do a training school with YWAM Kona and to go spread the gospel in South Africa last year. Now I’m trusting God for this next season of ministry for provision. Donations are amazing and help make this possible, but more-so I ask for the covering of prayer- “For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world” Ephesians 6:12. Missionary Sarah Sveeggen DONATE My name is Sarah Sveeggen and I am a follower of Jesus! Jesus calls us to minister to those around us and I'm choosing to express that by stepping into the mission field and partnering with YWAM Montana! I will be staffing School of Biblical Studies (SBS) to further study of the Bible and teach and train students in Biblical study as they also enter into the mission field. During my time in SBS I was studying the entire Bible in depth for 9 months. My days consisted of inductively studying scripture! I spent 40 - 60 hrs a week studying the Bible and applying what I’ve learned! I now get to apply this by staffing and teaching students how to inductively study the Bible! Missionary Keslyn Peterson DONATE Hi, all! My name is Keslyn Peterson and for the last two years, I’ve been serving as a missionary with YWAM (Youth With A Mission). The heartbeat of YWAM is to “know God and make God known”. Since saying YES to God to serve as a long term missionary in 2021, I have completed a first year school called DTS (Discipleship Training School) and a secondary school called SBS (School of Biblical Studies) with YWAM. Over the course of these 2 years, I have had the absolute blessing and privilege to preach the gospel, serve, and intercede in Hawaii, Egypt, Djibouti, Mexico, Australia, and Fiji! But this is just the beginning… During DTS, our ministry primarily focused on street evangelism, serving at risk youth, and and prayer walks through Muslim nations (Egypt & Djibouti), and we ended our time with a school debrief in Mexico, where we saw many salvations, baptisms, and healings! During the 9 month intensive course of SBS, we read and studied all 66 books of the Bible 5 to 7 times through, and applied what we had learned with an additional 2 month outreach to Fiji, where we taught the Inductive Bible Study Method to churches, pastors, and elders. So, what’s next??? I’m glad you asked! Since joining YWAM, God has gripped and burned my heart for long term missions. It was in the fall of 2022 that the Lord placed the nation of India on my heart. Confirmation after confirmation, He began opening doors and divine connections for me to pursue this calling with a trip to India in 2024!!! During this trip, my prayer and hope is to go and experience the people, culture, and diverse ministry options that the Lord may be calling me into. I am SO excited & expectant to see all that the Lord has on his heart for His bride of India. Matthew 28:18-20 says to GO & MAKE DISCIPLES OF ALL NATIONS, baptizing them in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit… I am dedicated, passionate, and am willing to sacrifice my whole life to see the Great Commission finished. Please pray and ask the Lord if He is opening this door as an opportunity for you to partner with me to serve & see the nation of India saved.
