We believe it is God’s heart for people to be made whole and prospering in every way, in spirit, soul and body. We have a compassion to see people healed and set free, helping people find who Christ called them to be. In April of 2025, during a time of questioning and frustration, He said to me, “You are medics to missionaries.” He made it clear we are missionaries throughout the United States . In 2020 we gave up our home, business, comfort, and understanding to follow Him. Since January of 2023 we have stayed in 30+ locations in 7 states (some locations were multiple times). Tara and I are currently in Redding, CA attending BSSM (Bethel School of Supernatural Ministry) and Bethel church. Though we are both currently working, we are seeking additional financial help due to the cost of school, mission trips, housing, ministry expenses, and transportation. Missionary Kira Hietala DONATE Hi, I’m Kira Hietala I’m 22 year old, and my life changed when I said yes to Jesus at 18. That yes began with my DTS at YWAM Kona, and it set me on a path of full-time missions. Since joining YWAM, I’ve been so blessed to be part of many life-changing opportunities Leadership Track, a Discipleship Bible School, staffing a Discipleship Bible School and a Discipleship training school with YWAM Ships Kona, leading an outreach team, living and serving in Papua New Guinea for almost a year, co leading the kitchen at YWAM Ships Kona as staff to serve the base community, and completing a Bible for Life School in Norway with YWAM. These are just some of the things God has allowed me to be part of since stepping into missions. God has given me such a deep love for the Bible, a heart for discipleship, and a desire for people to know God’s Word for themselves and truly come to know Jesus. Missions isn’t just what I do it’s what I’ve been called to give my life to. EquipNet is simply the platform I use to invite others into this journey. I was born and raised in South Africa and this year I am stepping out in faith to join the Fire & Fragrance Discipleship Training School (DTS) with Youth With A Mission (YWAM). This is something God has placed on my heart, and I am so excited to pursue Him in a deeper, life-changing way. For the past few months, I have felt God stirring my heart towards missions and intimacy with Him. I’ve been pushing it aside and delaying it, but no longer will I delay. I have given Jesus my yes and cry out “Here am I send me Lord” Fire & Fragrance focuses on: • Radical intimacy with Jesus • Worship and prayer • Community transformation • Taking the Gospel to the nations This aligns so deeply with what God has been speaking to me. 🌎 What I Will Be Doing? The DTS has two phases: 1. Most of my life I've heard about who Jesus was because I live in the "Bible Belt". But one day in 2017 Jesus became more than some idea, He became the real, loving, true Lord of my life! Since then I've had a fire in me longing to serve people, sharing with people the unconditional love of God! So I've set off on a journey to grow in relationship with God, and to make Him know to the people in the nations! My mission is to share love and message of Jesus Christ to communities around the world. Through compassion, service, and the power of the Gospel. I endeavor to see lives transformed and hope brought to the hopeless wherever that may lead me! I will be with YWAM Amsterdam doing a School of Biblical Studies (SBS) to equip me in being further grounded in the Word. I also will be serving in the local church, worship and prayer room, street evangelism, and any other mission opportunities that arises! I can't do this alone! Missionary Rafael Pereira DONATE Rafael Pereira, 22 years old, has been a missionary for over 3 years with YWAM and DUNAMIS MOVEMENT on his journey he has seen thousands of lives being reached through the Gospel, including his own life in 2018, which after an encounter with Jesus had its fashion transformed. In 2021 Rafael visited Egypt on his first missionary trip and from there a passion arose, placed by God in his heart, for the persecuted and unreached peoples, especially Muslim Arabs. Over the years Rafael delved deeper into the word of God by attending Bible schools, leading missionary trips to South Africa, Northern Brazil, attending improvement schools in Tajikistan and today he is living in Lebanon for long-term as missionary.
