Missionary Rafael Pereira DONATE Rafael Pereira, 22 years old, has been a missionary for over 3 years with YWAM and DUNAMIS MOVEMENT on his journey he has seen thousands of lives being reached through the Gospel, including his own life in 2018, which after an encounter with Jesus had its fashion transformed. In 2021 Rafael visited Egypt on his first missionary trip and from there a passion arose, placed by God in his heart, for the persecuted and unreached peoples, especially Muslim Arabs. Over the years Rafael delved deeper into the word of God by attending Bible schools, leading missionary trips to South Africa, Northern Brazil, attending improvement schools in Tajikistan and today he is living in Lebanon for long-term as missionary. Missionary Eric and Jiayan Musil DONATE Aloha! We are missionaries with YWAM Global Coffee Initiative as the Pacific Coordinators. YWAM stands for Youth With A Mission. YWAM GCI (Global Coffee Initiative) is a YWAM ministry that uses worldwide recognized certifications and trainings (through the Specialty Coffee Association) to bring transformation to individuals and communities. These trainings equip other missionaries to build sustainable bridges to be welcomed into the darkest places, as well as to equip locals with new economic means and birth new opportunities to have influence in their own region. YWAM GCI has had the honor to serve missionaries, locals, villages, other YWAM locations, governments, refugees, and even the United Nations. Eric and the team at YWAM GCI have diligently pursued professional training and teaching to become experts in their respective fields. Missionary Madison Hebert DONATE Howdy! I will be joining YWAM in Kona this year for a three month school called Lifebearers. In this school, I will be developing my skills and knowledge in the area of maternal health and practically applying those skills on a three month outreach! When I was in high school, the Lord placed a passion in my heart for women’s health and create a desire in me to become a midwife someday. These desires led me to become a nurse and work for a year in the perinatal department where I worked in labor and delivery, nursery, and postpartum! I then moved on to join the Circuit Riders in California where I was trained in the Gospel and went on outreach in the U.S. spreading the love of Jesus across college campuses! I feel strongly that the Lord is calling me deeper into missions and into the healthcare field, and this school will give me the perfect opportunity to further dive into both of those fields! Here in Oita, our focus is to show and share the true love of Christ and the Gospel through different types of ministries. YWAM Oita is still considered a new base, so a lot of pioneering, building friendships and trust with the locals, as well as being heavily involved with the community and churches are just a few things we do to show our love, and Christ’s love, to the people in Japan. There are many different types of ministries I will personally be involved with as a staff member here. A few opportunities that speak directly to my heart are teaching conversational English, one on one counsel (encouragement) and love to young women who struggle to see their self-worth and beauty, music, art, and volunteering in a cafe, creating lifelong friendships and having the honor to share my testimony and Christ’s love with those I encounter. Missionary Ulises & Ana Ekmeiro DONATE OUR VISION We are Ulises and Ana Ekmeiro, a Colombian–Venezuelan couple serving full-time as missionaries in Cartagena, Colombia, with Youth With A Mission (YWAM). God has called us to mobilize young people into missions through Bible training and evangelism, and to eradicate Biblical illiteracy—not only among missionaries, but also within the local church. We carry a deep passion for university students, believing they are key to transforming society and shaping the future of nations. Since 2017, we have trained over 500 missionaries who have read the entire Bible. Today, the number continues to grow beyond what we can track, as our schools multiply across nations. What God Has Allowed Us to Do We have pioneered Discipleship Bible Schools in five YWAM bases across Colombia: Cartagena, Medellín, Bucaramanga, Pereira, and Leticia (Amazonas). We have expanded these schools to nations such as Paraguay, Brazil, Mexico, Switzerland, and Chile. We have witnessed countless testimonies of students transforming their churches, families, workplaces, universities, and ministries. We have received open doors to share the Gospel at the University of Sinú in Cartagena, with the potential to reach more than 5,000 students. Together with our local church, we run Alpha Courses as a strategic tool to reach and disciple university students. I've been called to the nations to care for the orphan, help families in need, and disciple others along the way!
