Hi! We're Zach and Hannah, and together with our one-year-old daughter, we are stepping back into the mission field as long-term vocational missionaries with YWAM (Youth With A Mission) in Brisbane, Australia.

Our story with YWAM Brisbane began in 2019 when we completed a Discipleship Training School (DTS) together. YWAM's foundational six-month program where students spend three months in intensive lecture, studying the character of God and the foundations of missionary life, followed by three months on outreach taking the Gospel to the nations. That school changed everything. In 2020, we returned to Brisbane to join staff and enter the Basic Leadership School (BLS), YWAM Brisbane's 18-month intensive program designed to grow young missionaries in Christ-centered leadership and further equip them to fulfill the Great Commission. Upon graduating, we were asked to step into leadership of the DTS itself, and for the next two years we poured ourselves into discipling and equipping the young people coming through that school.

We left in 2023 to return to the States and get married, but we didn't leave with a sense of closure. We left with a word from the Lord: our time in Brisbane wasn't finished. For almost three years, we have held onto that word, praying, waiting, and trusting God's timing as we built our family and prepared for what He had next. Now, with a deep sense of peace and clarity, we feel the Lord has opened the door for us to return. This time, we're not going as young adults on a short-term adventure. We're going as a family, stepping into long-term vocational missions.

Zach will return to his role as a DTS staff leader, investing in the next generation of missionaries coming through the school and leading them into a deeper encounter with God and a life surrendered to the Great Commission. Hannah will serve in a part-time role while carrying the equally important calling of raising our daughter in the mission field, a witness in itself to the nations that following Jesus is a whole-life endeavor.

YWAM is one of the world's largest missions training and sending organizations, present in over 1,000 locations worldwide. The heartbeat of YWAM is simple: know God and make Him known. The DTS is the entry point for most missionaries in YWAM, a six-month school of lecture and outreach designed to transform lives and send young people into the harvest. As DTS leaders, we have the privilege of walking with students through some of the most pivotal moments of their spiritual lives.

As full-time missionaries, we don't receive a salary from YWAM. Our provision comes entirely through the generosity of individuals and churches who partner with us. We believe this is by design. There is something deeply intentional about the body of Christ coming together to send and sustain those called to the field.
