I am currently a student with YWAM’s University of the Nations, a missionary sending school that equips believers to bring God’s Word and His love into the nations. The specific school I am in is centered on being trained in both Scripture and a Christian perspective of psychology. This combination is so important to me because it allows me to not only understand God’s truth but also to apply it in ways that bring healing and restoration to people who are walking through injustice, brokenness, and trauma. My heart is to see people encounter God in a real way that transforms their lives just as He has transformed mine.
I am 23 years old, and I believe this is a pivotal season in my life where God is preparing me for long-term ministry. This school has been sharpening me, challenging me, and deepening my relationship with Him, so that I can be someone who carries His presence with boldness and love. I know that the foundation I am receiving now is not just for me but for the countless lives I will meet in the future who need hope, encouragement, and truth.
The reason I chose to step into this school is because of what God has already done in my life. He has healed me from trauma and wounds that I never thought would be restored, but through His love and power, He made me whole. Experiencing that kind of redemption changed everything for me. I want others to know Him not just as a distant God but as their Lord, Father, Savior, and Healer—the One who meets them in their deepest pain and brings freedom.
My desire is to be a vessel for God to use in the nations, whether that’s through counseling, discipleship, evangelism, or simply walking with people through their stories. I believe He has called me to carry both truth and compassion, to bring His Word and His heart to those who are desperate for healing. My hope is that by being equipped through this school, I will be able to help others encounter the same God who rescued me, so that their lives too can be restored and transformed for His glory.
