Growing up in Taiwan, Ting was raised in a Buddhist and Taoist culture and in a home that practiced ancestor worship. When she moved to the United States in 2006, a group of Christian college students shared the Gospel with her. She came to believe the Gospel and was baptized in 2009, but it wasn’t until 2012, after moving to New York City and becoming part of a solid local church, that she truly repented and surrendered her life to Christ.

Since then, God has given Ting a deep burden to see the people of Asia reached with the Gospel. Having grown up in Asia, she has seen the spiritual darkness and great need for Christ firsthand. She has also experienced the loss of people close to her who passed away without ever hearing the Gospel. These experiences have strengthened her conviction that everyone should have the opportunity to hear the Gospel at least once in their lifetime.

God has also prepared Ting to serve through visual storytelling. From studying video production in high school to earning a Master of Fine Arts degree and gaining professional experience in Taiwan and the United States, He has given her both the skills and passion to use video for His glory.

After years of prayer, Ting began the 1027 Initiative, a video ministry named after John 10:27: “My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me.” The 1027 Initiative partners with missionaries, churches, and Christian organizations to create videos that showcase missionary work, share how people are being reached with the Gospel, highlight the spiritual needs of unreached places, and encourage believers to pray, give, and go. In all of this, the purpose remains the same: to use visual storytelling to help make Christ known.

As God opens doors, Ting hopes to travel throughout Asia and beyond to film missionaries and ministries. She is currently seeking to raise $2,000 per month to help cover:

  • Travel expenses to film missionaries and ministries

  • Camera equipment and maintenance

  • Video editing software and digital subscriptions

  • Production expenses such as translation, additional crew, and other creative services

  • Living and ministry expenses that sustain her ability to serve through the 1027 Initiative

Most importantly, Ting is asking others to join her through prayer and financial support. She trusts God to use each story to point people to Jesus, awaken hearts for the nations, and advance the Gospel. Thank you for partnering with Ting and the 1027 Initiative to fulfill the Great Commission.
