My name is Tray’veon Larkin, I am a 21 year old African American missionary serving with a missions organization called University of the Nations (Youth with a mission) in Kona, Hawaii.

I am apart of the staff crew here in a DTS school called Fire and Fragrance. You may well ask, "What is a DTS?” well, DTS stands for Discipleship Training School and it is where young people come and spend 3 months living in a missions-focused community learning about, and being discipled in living out their faith. Whether that’s in their local communities, workplace, friend groups or a different country. It's followed by approximately 2-3 months living as a boots-on-the-ground missionary (in the nations), preaching the gospel of what Jesus did for us (Colossians 2:13-14) and to disciple the nations (Matthew 28:16-20).

This training has helped by giving me opportunities to put into application the unique giftings and calling I believe God has given me.

For example :

1. Learning how to share my faith with others.

2. Learning how to hear the voice of God.

3. Stepping even more into my true identity in Jesus.

4. Learning how to study and communicate God’s word (The Bible) effectively.

Being a part of the staff here is so encouraging! To be able to partner with God in seeing young people from all over the world and different backgrounds come and begin to walk in hearing God’s voice. We are all also learning to be able to preach the Gospel and grow in learning how to study the Word of God effectively.

To continue to do what I love, I have formed a monthly financial/prayer partnership team. I would love for you to pray about joining this partnership with me to help me to continue to do what I love and to help see the Kingdom of God continue to advance.
