Hola everyone!
My name is Sidney and I currently serve the Lord in Mexico. I am 27 years old and have lived my entire life in Virginia until last year when I felt the Lord calling me to missions long-term. I quit my full-time job, packed up my things, and drove 38 hours. I love adventures and road trips, meeting new people, learning about new cultures, and trying new foods, so this journey has truly met and surpassed all of those desires!
In college, I majored in Social Work for my undergraduate degree and went on to do a master’s degree in Trauma and Crisis Counseling. I hope to continue using my education to serve the people of Mexico. I serve in many different ministries with one of the Youth With A Mission (YWAM) bases in Mexico. One of those ministries in which I serve is a home building ministry where we build homes within two days for families living in extreme poverty.  These homes provide a place of security and safety for the families who beforehand were homeless. They provide stability for their children and give these families a boost into the next step in their lives, providing them with a home that would have taken a lifetime to pay for with the wages they earn in Mexico.
I am also a part of a team of missionaries who work with a disability ministry where we do visitations and trainings for parents on how to work with their children who have various disabilities. We also provide them with educational materials as most children with special needs are not allowed in schools in Mexico.
Another area I work in is in the Red Light District (the part of the city where prostitution is legal, drug abuse is prominent, and most everyone is living in extreme poverty). Our base owns a property in this area of the city where we run programs such as after-school tutoring , youth group, sports ministries, and a sewing class for the mothers in the community. We also do creative street evangelism in this area of the city. The sewing ministry is one of my favorite ministries to be a part of because it provides these women with skills to be more self-sufficient and earn an income for themselves and their families. It also provides opportunities to build relationships with the women in this community. The goal of every type of  ministry we do is to display the love of Jesus through our actions and our words in order to tell of who Jesus is and bring hope to one of the darkest parts of Mexico.

I would love your support through prayer and finances in order to cover monthly living expenses and provide materials for the areas in which I serve. I am looking to receive $2,000 USD each month.
Bendiciones / Blessings,
Sidney Williamson
