Hi, my name is Sophia Offerdahl!

When I was in college, I met and committed my life to Jesus and now He has captivated my heart.  He met me where I was and redeemed me from a life of anxiety, addiction, trauma, hopelessness and a life without fulfillment. Since surrendering my life to Him, the Lord has set a fire in my heart for the mission field because I cannot help but tell everyone I meet about the life and freedom that He brings.

“But if I say, ‘I will not mention his word or speak anymore in his name,’ his word is in my heart like a fire, a fire shut up in my bones. I am weary of holding it in; indeed. I cannot.” Jeremiah 20:9

I have just finished up getting my undergraduate degree in college and am now entering a new stage of my life. I’m going to be a missionary with Circuit Riders, which is a branch of Youth With A Mission (YWAM) for six months! I will be doing their six month Discipleship Training School, where I will get discipled and trained to reach my generation with the gospel, then I will be sent out to meet and reach the lost!

Joining Circuit Riders, I will be a part of their Carry the Love movement which was created out of a desire to bring the gospel and see a generation get saved on college campuses. The first three months I will learn practical skills on how to share the gospel and take part in weekly outreach in local cities/colleges, while also being immersed in a mission-minded community to encourage me in my relationship with the Lord. The second three months I will be doing just outreach where I will be sent out with a team of missionaries to either a region in the US, Europe or South Africa. There we will be working with established campus ministries and sharing the Gospel on those college campuses and taking part in city wide evangelism with help from the local churches.

So, how can you take part in supporting me?

I am currently building a team of investors that can help me raise my goal of $12,000 for the entire six months, which will allow  me to serve what God is doing in the universities of the nation. The funding will help cover housing, various travel fees (including flights and gas money), the training fees, food and any additional funds. Would you prayerfully consider joining in support?

“The Lord commanded that those who proclaim the gospel should get their living by the gospel.” 1 Corinthians 9:14

I am also hoping to have a community of fellow believers who are supporting, by lifting up my team and I in prayer for financial and spiritual provision.

“I thank my God every time I remember you. In all my prayers for all of you, I always pray with joy because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now, being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.” Philippians 1:3-6
