Hi, my name is Salem Mills, I am 20 years old, and I love Jesus. I grew up most of my life in a small town in Texas, and now I am part of the staff team at YWAM Oxford in New Zealand.

The reason I'm here is that after my Discipleship Training School (DTS) in March of 2025, I knew that God wanted me to live a missional life, no matter where I was, in my hometown or halfway across the world. After spending some time in prayer and consideration, I decided to return and staff a DTS. I am now in New Zealand to do just that!

What is YWAM Oxford? YWAM is a global short-term missionary training organization, with the goal “To know God and make him known.” as a DTS staff member, I will be fully involved in the day-to-day activities with the DTS students. Helping to mentor and grow their relationship with Jesus, and with the hope of cultivating a heart for the nations in them. As well as spending time to mentor and lead them closer to Jesus.

As a staff member at YWAM, I am a full-time volunteer, spending my time leading and discipling the next generation. That also means that I can only do this with generous financial support and many prayers (the more the merrier). I would love to ask you to pause and spend some time in prayer, both for what lies ahead of me and for me to see and follow where God is moving.
