Hi! My name is Silia Matelau, I am 20 years old and a missionary with Island Breeze which is a Dance Ministry within Youth With A Mission (YWAM).

Island Breeze uses the power and beauty of indigenous cultural expressions to proclaim and establish the Kingdom of God within the nations of the world. We were all made to dance, sing, and worship the way God created us to!! Not just for yourself, but just as you were created. It was for such a purpose:)

I was blessed to join the team on their tour through the islands for 3 months this year and I saw the Lord waking up His sleeping giant. His warriors of the South Pacific have been asleep for too long and it's time for them to rise up and walk in the authority that they carry. Our team has seen thousands of lives in nations across the world transformed by dancing the Maori Haka or even our leader stepping out in faith and dancing her Samoan siva. Though it may make no sense to us, it makes all the sense to Jesus. He has made us with different cultures, colors, languages, movements and ALL are SO BEAUTIFUL to Him. You, yes YOU hold so much authority in your culture no matter what percentage you are. Walk out the calling the Lord has placed on your life. Say yes, and go, you incredible child of God!! When the Lord is for you, no one can stand against you.

This is why I'm joining Island Breeze. I long to see God's children living in full freedom, families restored, islanders sent to the nations, religion broken off, hearts softened, lost souls found and so much more. My heart burns to see the islands rise up and I know I will.
