Hi! My name is Summer Joiner and I am a full time missionary on staff with "Respect the Corners" at YWAM (Youth With A Mission) in Kona! 

While I was in my DTS, the Lord really marked my heart for Respect the Corners (RTC) and the heart behind their ministry. Respect the Corners exists to raise up God fearing men and women who are passionate about fitness and want to see the kingdom of Heaven come to earth through this avenue. We use crossfit to train our bodies to be able to be fit enough to trek Bibles in the High Himalayan mountains. The Lord is also using fitness for coaches to go into closed nations and use this as an avenue to preach the gospel!

During DTS, the Lord began to reveal to me more and more of who He has made me to be. It was during my times at RTC where I heard Him speaking to me and inviting me to go where He was leading me. During class one day, the Lord clearly spoke to me. He said to me, “Train women in grit and strength.” He has specifically given me these attributes to use them for His Kingdom and through RTC, I am able to train and disciple women to be doing the same.
