Hi friends! My name is Samantha and I have been so blessed to join the YWAM Gold Coast staff team over in Australia! The Lord has already done so much with my time over there and I am so excited to see Him transform more hearts and be a part of the Great Commission

I’m from Kalamazoo Michigan in the USA and in January of 2024 I decided to join YWAM at a base in the Gold Coast of Australia. YWAM (Youth With A Mission) is a Christian organization that is dedicated to seeing young people all over the world "know God, and make God known". Growing up I would've called myself Christian, but I was so far from knowing God. I haven’t always had it very easy in life but God brought me towards Him when I was the farthest away and He saved me. When I joined my DTS (Discipleship Training School) in YWAM I had no idea what I was doing or where I was going, but now being on the other side of my experience I can tell you it has completely flipped my life around. God has captivated me, saved me, and has called me toward His kingdom.

I decided to join the YWAM GC staff team because God has given me such a heart for discipleship. I want to use my story and relationship with the Lord to tell others who God is and represent Christ well. I know what it's like to be hurt by the church and I want to be someone that truly shows God's heart and His transformation. Because of what God has done in my own life, how could I not say yes to Him?

Matthew 28:19-20 "Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely, I am with you always, to the very end of the age."

I know it may not make sense to everyone but as a now full-time missionary, I will be living fully off of support for at least these next 2 years with YWAM. My role as a staff member will take up all of my time so I will be unable to have a job that would normally cover living expenses. I am hoping to raise at least $600 US per month to cover rent, groceries, possible insurance, visas, and other costs that will eventually come up through outreaches.
