Hey friends!

My name is Starla, and I’m a full-time missionary with Fire and Fragrance South Africa! Fire and Fragrance is a ministry within Youth With A Mission (YWAM) that is passionate about raising up a generation on fire for Jesus, becoming a living fragrance of Christ to the lost.

My journey began in 2011, when I went on my first international mission trip to Haiti. During that time, we helped build a church plant, worked with children’s ministry, and visited several orphanages. It was there that I realized the deep need for Jesus, not just in Haiti, but around the world. I knew in my heart that God was calling me to be a missionary, so I began seeking out different organizations to join.

In 2015, I completed my Discipleship Training School (DTS) with YWAM in Las Vegas, and since then, the Great Commission has been the driving passion of my life. “Go and make disciples of all nations” (Matthew 28:19). Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of leading DTSs and discipling many students.

Now, I’m stepping into a new season where I’m not only discipling students here in South Africa, but also teaching them to obey all that Jesus has commanded.

My heart has been burning to teach and equip South Africans to know God’s Word deeply. I’m involved in pioneering a new School of Biblical Studies (SBS) here at our base, with the goal of raising up a generation that is biblically literate and ready to be sent out into the mission field—not just from South Africa, but from all over the world.

I would like to ask if you would prayerfully consider partnering with me in the work God has called me to by becoming a regular monthly supporter.  For example, to meet my current financial needs, I would need approximately 5 supporters at $75/month, or a combination of supporters such as 2 at $100/month and 4 at $50/month.
