Hi!

I'm Raney Sutherland, a full time missionary with YWAM (Youth With A Mission) based in Kona, Hawaii! I did my DTS (Discipleship Training School) in 2020 and my whole life was radically changed by the love of Jesus, and the recognition that He had a place and a purpose for my life in finishing the Great Commission! I'm so excited to share this truth with people of every tribe, tongue, and nation, and help equip others to do the same!

I am on staff with a school called Fire and Fragrance! Our vision is to see young people be set on fire for Jesus and be compelled by love to go to the ends of the earth to share the Gospel! They are equipped to do this through 6 month programs called Discipleship Training Schools. The first 3 months is a Lecture Phase where they learn more about God's heart and His extravagant love for them. The second half is an Outreach Phase for another 3 months, where they take all they have learned, and serve and love people in another nation. Our goal is "to know God, and make Him known!"

The role that I will be playing in this is that I will be intentionally discipling the students, and guiding them as they go through the program, doing life with them as they have growth and breakthroughs! I, (along with a co-leader), will also be planning the outreach portion, and will be leading a team to whatever nation we are given! I am so honored to be a part of what God is doing in this generation and am full of faith as I watch young people have deep relationship with Jesus, walk in freedom, and share His love in the hardest and darkest places!
