Rakesh and Sarah: 2024 Summer Mission Trip

This adventure takes us back to a place of great spiritual impact.

We have been invited back to Calvary Campus Church (CCC) for a 2-month volunteer opportunity. CCC is a vibrant community of believers located in Carbondale, Illinois. Their mission is to make disciples for Jesus among the nations, both locally and globally by emphasizing worship, prayer, discipleship, fellowship, evangelism, and missions.  In 2007, Sarah was saved and greatly transformed by this ministry.  It was here that she was trained in ministry.

While we serving at CCC, we hope to do the following:

• Sarah will serve as administrative help to the church.

• Rakesh will take on fixer-upper tasks, helping to repair student apartments under the care of CCC.

• Together, we will both be reaching out to international students.

To serve effectively, we'll need prayer and financial support. We’ll need to raise $6,000 before May 20, 2024 to report to our assignment.

The budget includes:

• Food, transportation, and hotels while traveling to Illinois and on our way back

• Housing while we stay in Carbondale

• A small donation to bless the CCC ministry

Your support will directly impact lives, both on campus and beyond. Each dollar raised represents a life touched, a soul reached, and a heart transformed. We will work hard to serve Jesus while providing administrative support, coordinating international student outreaches, and fixing up student apartments. We hope to send a couple of monthly updates while on the field.

We also pray that we can repeat this experience in future.   We will return to our home city in the Fall with a fresh vision and purpose.

Together, let’s advance God’s kingdom and bring hope to the world.

(Although we are working with our home church we are not affiliated with Chi Alpha Campus Ministries. We will be serving under Calvary Campus Church.)
