Hello!

My name is Payton Wirebaugh and I am a full-time missionary serving at Youth With A Mission (YWAM) Kona, with the Fire and Fragrance school.

I attended Discipleship Training School (DTS) Through YWAM Kona from September to March of 2021. Going into DTS I was praying that God would break my heart for what breaks His. Little did I know that He would break my heart for the nations. Throughout my discipleship school, the Lord revealed His calling on my life. A calling to go to the nations and tell people about the love He has for them. He has had that call on my life since I was a little girl and I am just now beginning to realize what that calling is going to look like.The Lord has made it clear to me that staffing the school I completed is what He is calling me to do in this season! My DTS completely changed my life, my outlook on life, and my relationship with the Lord so I am so thankful that I get to be on the leadership side of the school now! The role of the DTS staff is to walk alongside DTS students and disciple them as they deepen their relationship with the Lord and then co-leading a team of students to a nation to share the love of Christ.

The mission statement of YWAM is to know God and make Him known. YWAM is a community of believers who have been impacted by the love of God and can't wait to go and tell people about it. The main mission statement of YWAM is rooted in the Great Commission in Matthew 28:19-20 "Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit; teaching them to observe everything I have commanded you."

We believe that God has called all of us to play a role in completing the Great Commission. For some people it looks like working at their local church, for some, it looks like partnering with those going - in prayer or financially - and for some, that means being sent.
