Hi there! My name is Nathan Peña. I am 19 years old and I live in beautiful Bozeman, Montana! This fall I have the honor of doing a DTS, (Discipleship Training School) through an organization called YWAM!
Youth With A Mission (YWAM) is a global, interdenominational Christian missionary organization founded in 1960 with the purpose of “knowing God and making Him known.” Active in over 180 countries, YWAM mobilizes people of all ages—though especially young people—for service through discipleship training, evangelism, and humanitarian aid. Its most well-known program, the Discipleship Training School (DTS), equips participants to grow in faith and engage in cross-cultural mission. Beyond training, YWAM is involved in outreach projects such as community development, disaster relief, healthcare, and education, combining practical service with sharing the Christian message.
Here’s what we will be doing in our DTS! My group and I will be doing half of our lecture phase in Bozeman and half at the YWAM base in Colorado Springs! Then half of our outreach we will spend also in Bozeman and the other half we will spend in Peru and Brazil! The reason we will spend much of our time here in Bozeman is because my team and I have the wonderful opportunity in the next couple years of planting a YWAM base here, “YWAM Yellowstone”! Our DTS is specifically designed to train us, first to become well equipped leaders, second to mobilize the next generations to take the Gospel to the nations, and third to be equipped to pioneer the upcoming YWAM base here in Bozeman, Montana!
One specific calling that I feel over my life is to learn the ways of Yeshua of Nazareth and apply them in every area of my life. Whether in this next season of YWAM, other schooling, or the workplace I want to live and act as Jesus would have if He were me. It’s simple and broad but I believe also wonderfully powerful and I am honored to ask you to partner with me in this season. As I go into YWAM in this next season I first and foremost would love your prayers. I believe there is so much power in prayer and am so excited to be able to ask you to partner with me in that area!

1. Protection for my team and I during our DTS and outreach to South America!
2. Boldness and faith to proclaim the Gospel wherever we go!
I also would love to ask you to pray about partnering with me financially. Finances are not something I take lightly and know it is a lot to ask but I also know that I cannot do any of this without support from others which is why I am honored to ask you to give in whatever way; prayers, challenges, and of course financials.
I will not be working during my time with YWAM, which will be for a minimum of 6 months and a max of however long the Lord keeps me there! Over that time I will need $1,700 per month. That will cover;
1. Cost of the DTS
2. Housing/ rent
3. Food/ groceries
4. Flights/ travel/ gas
5. Tithe/ giving to others
6. Other expenses, emergencies, etc.
I feel so blessed to have this opportunity to join YWAM in this next season but I couldn’t and wouldn’t want to do it without your coverings of prayer, encouragement, and finances.
