Hi! My name is Mitchell, and I'm the Prayer & Missions Pastor at Great Lakes Church in Sterling Heights, Michigan! I have the privilege of serving here full-time and raise my own support in order to do so!

The Metro Detroit area has such a diverse community of people, many of whom, do not know Jesus. Reading through the New Testament letters to the churches, especially Acts, I'm so burdened to see Revival and Awakening in our day, in our city! There are so many families in our communities that are hurting, broken, and lost without the knowledge and love of Christ, and we can make a difference!

Additionally, Gen Z is the least Christian generation in decades! Out of 70 million, kids, teens, and young adults, only 4% believe in a Biblical Worldview (Barna 2016). Just as I am believing for Revival in this region, my heart burns for my generation! There are multiple schools right down the street full of students who don't have a relationship with God. I am deeply passionate about discipling young people and leading them to Lord and I am believing that Gen Z will be a generation set on fire for Christ!

For me, knowing God, walking in His presence, and experiencing life change has completely shaped the past 10 years of my life. When I was 12, I got saved at the first youth camp I went to. I encountered the presence of God for the first time in my life and I was never the same since, transformed in a moment yet continually being transformed by God day by day! I've endeavored to always share that with those around me, walking alongside them and leading them according to the truth of God's Word. That's my heart for Gen Z as well as all of us living here in the Metro Detroit area, that they would know God, walk in His presence, and experience the life change that only He has to offer!

As our Prayer & Missions Pastor, my primary roles are in organizing and leading our weekly prayer services, prayer outreach events, and building teams as we prepare for missions trips, our first of which will be in the city of Mazatlán, Mexico, building a home for a family displaced by the cartel! I also serve as a leader for our youth group and lead our tech team. All of these areas help our church to operate and flow smoothly while we effectively reach this generation and the Metro Detroit area for Christ!
