I am Melitza, a 24-year-old Educational Psychologist from the town of San José de Ocoa, in the Dominican Republic. and the eldest of three sisters raised by my parents, Manuel and Olga. I love the simple joys of life: spending time with my family, cooking for loved ones, hiking, writing poetry, reading, and drawing.
Today, my passion finds its purpose at FIGHT, a refuge that rescues, rehabilitates, and protects underage girls who have been rescued from human trafficking. As a teacher’s assistant, I help guide these precious "pearls" through activities that integrate life-changing values and promote personal growth.
Working with traumatized children demands more than just professional skills; it requires daily spiritual resilience. Prayer is our anchor. The prayers of our community sustain us emotionally, offer clarity during heavy moments, and keep our passion alive. When you invest in my ministry, you directly impact FIGHT. Your support provides these girls with better resources, deeper mentorship, and a nurturing environment where they can safely grow and blossom.
Would you partner with me to see more girls being healed and restore through what we do at FIGHT?
May the peace of God be with you!
Melitza
