For years, my heart has been for the next generation.
I’ve spent much of my life serving in youth ministry—leading worship, discipling students, going on mission trips, and building environments where young people could encounter Jesus. And I still believe deeply in that work. But over time, I started noticing something that burdened me.
We were great at creating gatherings.
Great at creating moments.
Great at creating fun.
And sometimes—beautiful encounters with the Lord.
But too often that's all they were—just encounters, rather than abiding.
Students would experience God at a retreat/camp, a worship night, or in an emotional moment, but then struggle to sustain intimacy when the moment faded. Everything felt surface-level. We were giving them events, but not always equipping them to access the depth of relationship available to them as sons and daughters of God.
That realization changed me.
It didn’t lessen my heart for youth. It deepened it.
I've become convinced that if we want to see transformation in the next generation, we have to restore prayer and worship to the center—not as an add-on, not as a segment of a service, but as a lifestyle, because prayer is relationship.
And that’s why I’m stepping into full-time missions with Prayer House.
Prayer House exists to build spaces where Jesus is the focus—where people learn to truly abide in His presence through prayer, worship, and the Word. We train and equip believers to plant prayer rooms in cities and churches around the world.
What we’re building here isn’t separate from my heart for youth.
It’s foundational to it.
Why I’m Raising Support & How You Can Help'
This is a building season! And as I step into this role, I am on the search for a team of supporters willing to invest $2,000 a month to fund housing, provisions, and equipment. This will secure the ability to carry out my full-time role as I’m helping establish rhythms of prayer, strengthen discipleship, serve the local Church, and lay foundations for presence-centered ministry that can last beyond emotional moments.
When you give, you’re not just supporting me.
You’re investing in the spiritual formation of the next generation.
You’re helping establish prayer in cities.
You’re helping build environments where young people can encounter Jesus in ways that endure.
If you’ve known me through youth ministry or worship leadership—this isn’t a shift away from that calling. It’s a deeper yes to it.
Thank you for your prayers and consideration—I am so excited to partner with a team of cheerful givers! May the Lord bless you, keep you, and cause His face to shine upon you and give you peace.
With love,
Luke McCaslin
