Did you know that in the Asia- Pacific Rim, only 4.2% are followers of Jesus? 46,470 men, women, and children die there every day without Christ.
My name is Livia Curtis, and I am thrilled to share with you that I have been accepted to a YWAM-Discipleship Training School (DTS) in Coffs Harbour, Australia beginning this September! I have the privilege of following God's call to share the hope of Jesus Christ with people who have never heard His name. While I have always loved serving others, God transformed that desire into a clear calling during a mission trip to Southeast Asia. As I met families, prayed with believers, and witnessed both the physical and spiritual needs around me, my heart broke for those who had never experienced the love and hope found in Christ. Since that trip, the Lord has faithfully prepared me through completing my associate's degree, becoming an EMT, and serving as an au pair in Germany. Looking back, I can see Him using each experience to prepare me for this next step of faith.
This September, I will begin a five-month Discipleship Training School (DTS) with Youth With A Mission (YWAM) in Coffs Harbour, Australia. YWAM exists to know God and make Him known by equipping believers to reach the nations with the gospel. During the DTS, I will spend three months growing through biblical teaching, discipleship, and local ministry before joining a two-month outreach team in the Asia-Pacific region. Together, we will serve communities through children's ministry, evangelism, worship, prayer, practical outreach, and caring for people in tangible ways. My desire is not only to share the message of Christ but also to reflect His love through every conversation and act of service.
One of the things that continues to burden my heart is knowing that millions of people throughout the Asia-Pacific region have not heard the good news of Jesus. I believe God is inviting me to be part of His work among them—not because I have all the answers, but because He delights in using ordinary people who are willing to trust Him. This season is about far more than a five-month program; it is another step in a lifelong journey of following wherever God leads and making His name known among the nations.
As I step out in faith, I know I cannot do this alone. The ministry God has called me to depends on faithful partners who will stand with me through prayer and financial support. For this reason, I welcome you to join me and be part of this mission in Coffs Harbour. $11,000 is needed to cover my training, outreach, travel, housing, and ministry expenses. More than anything, I would be honored to have you join me in praying that God would prepare my heart, guide our team, and draw many people to Himself through this ministry.
While I may be the one traveling, I truly believe this mission belongs to all of us. Through your prayers, encouragement, and financial partnership, we can share the hope of Christ with people who may have never heard His name.
