My name is LaTeisha Carroll, and I serve in missions full-time, helping the Body of Christ participate in the Great Commission both locally and cross-culturally.

As a child, I imagined I would grow up to become a professional basketball player or a graphic designer, since I was naturally good at art and sports. But when I encountered missionaries and saw the value of taking the gospel to the nations, everything changed.

A few times each year, missionaries would visit my church and share what God was doing in the nations. I was captivated by their stories. Even the cross-cultural challenges they described didn’t discourage me, it only deepened my desire to go. But it was after my dad returned from an outreach in Haiti that a true passion for missions was awakened in me. Watching him break down in tears before our church as he described the Haitian believers’ devotion to God moved my heart. From that moment on, I knew I wanted to be part of what God was doing around the world.

In 2013, through the leading of the Lord and the affirmation of my local church, I was commissioned to serve in missions full-time. Since then, I’ve had the privilege of leading gospel initiatives, equipping gospel laborers, and mobilizing the Body of Christ to do their part in God’s mission. My heart is to make Christ known with clarity and conviction, and to help others do the same. But I know I can't do this alone.
