HI! My name is Kayla Phillips, I am a full time missionary with YWAM (Youth With A Mission) in Kailua-Kona, Hawaii!

YWAM is a collaborative non-profit mission sending organization that is focused on fulfilling the Great Commission (Matthew 28:16). The heart piece is to Know God for yourself and make Him known to all nations and tribes. We want to ignite Gen-Z for revival and freedom in the Lord.

I did my first DTS (Discipleship Training School) in January 2023 where my heart for missions, specifically in women's ministry, was stirred. My life was completely transformed from living the day to day striving for the approval of the world, to living a life completely fulfilled in the identity of Christ. During my outreach to America, I began to see God’s heart for the lukewarm and those who don’t know his freedom and faithfulness.

I have committed 2 years to YWAM Kona to staff their DTS’s and hope to start building more of a women's ministry on campus and on outreaches. Part of staffing a DTS will include leading teams across the world for 3 month long missions, training students in discipleship, mentoring and other ministry trips. My biggest focus is to continue to seek God’s face in everything and make Him known in every place I go.
