Hi, I’m Kira Hietala I’m 22 year old, and my life changed when I said yes to Jesus at 18.

That yes began with my DTS at YWAM Kona, and it set me on a path of full-time missions. Since joining YWAM, I’ve been so blessed to be part of many life-changing opportunities  Leadership Track, a Discipleship Bible School, staffing a Discipleship Bible School and a Discipleship training school with YWAM Ships Kona, leading an outreach team, living and serving in Papua New Guinea for almost a year, co leading the kitchen at YWAM Ships Kona as staff to serve the base community, and completing a Bible for Life School in Norway with YWAM. These are just some of the things God has allowed me to be part of since stepping into missions. 

God has given me such a deep love for the Bible, a heart for discipleship, and a desire for people to know God’s Word for themselves and truly come to know Jesus. Missions isn’t just what I do

 it’s what I’ve been called to give my life to.

EquipNet is simply the platform I use to invite others into this journey. In YWAM, we don’t receive a paycheck  full-time missions is completely support-based. By partnering with me through prayer and giving, this is how I’m able to live in obedience to God’s call and serve wherever He leads.

I’m so excited for where the Lord is sending me next, and I’m incredibly grateful for every person who chooses to walk this journey with me.
