Karissa Cherry, originally from East Tennessee, is currently serving as a full time missionary with YWAM Kona.

Recently she and her co-leader led a team of 13 students to south Asia for 3 months. There, they had the opportunity to share God’s love with the locals and also to trek Bibles into the Himalayan mountains and tell unreached people groups about Jesus for the first time. Her team saw 110 Salvations, 23 healings and delivered over 440 Bibles!

Her vision is to continue developing as a leader and functional fitness athlete so eventually she can be launched into the nations as a Level 1 CrossFit trainer, using functional fitness as an avenue and door into the health and fitness scene, worldwide. (Everyone, everywhere needs Jesus, even athletes!)
