I hope you are doing so well! My name is Jake Smith, I am a recent graduate of the Johnstown High School Class of 2025. During high school, the Lord stirred in me a deep passion to pursue full-time missions and share the gospel with nations around the world, so I applied for a Discipleship Training School (DTS) with Youth With A Mission (YWAM) in Lakeside, Montana.

Those five months changed my life. For three months, we studied who God is and how to make Him known. Then, for two months, I was on outreach in the Netherlands. It was an incredible experience full of amazing moments and some really hard ones, but the Lord opened my eyes to the truth that this life is not about me.

Since returning home, the Lord has clearly called me back to the Netherlands to staff with YWAM there. After much prayer and making sure this was His will, I received a clear “YES” from Him. To be on staff with YWAM (or any missions organization), I must raise my own monthly support. That monthly support is also what I need to secure my visa.

I have already seen the Lord provide so faithfully. I’m currently at about $730/month in committed support. My monthly goal is $1,400–$1,500 so I can return this fall and begin leading DTS teams. That means I need to raise the remaining $750-800 per month over the next three weeks so I can get my visa and return as a full-time missionary.

Why the Nations?

My goal is to lead DTS teams primarily into the “10/40 Window,” which is home to some of the largest unreached people groups on earth. The Lord has placed both the Netherlands and the unreached nations on my heart. I want to see revival break out in the Netherlands and see Dutch young people mobilized to take the gospel even further, into the very places that have never heard the name of Jesus.

Your support would allow me to disciple students, plan outreaches, and take worship to the nations. The nations are waiting to hear the name of Jesus, and you can play a huge part in what the Lord is doing there.

I truly desire that the Lord be at the center of every gift and that you listen for His voice on this.
