Hi everyone! 안녕하세요!

My name is Jordan Self, and I am currently serving as an independent missionary in South Korea.

In February 2023, I made a life-changing decision to respond to God’s call on my life. I felt a strong pull to the nation of Korea, and for nine months I prayed and interceded for a people group halfway across the world from my home. With no job, no connections, only three months of resources, and much prayerful consideration, I took a step of faith alongside a friend and moved to the country that God was clearly calling me toward.

Those three months of resources turned into a year and seven months of blessings beyond what I could have imagined. I connected with a local Korean church community that fully welcomed us and affirmed God’s call on our lives. We were able to intercede for the nation with the people, help build up their international ministry, and learn more about Korean culture and God’s plans for the church and the surrounding people group. We even had the opportunity to join a mission trip to Japan, extending our outreach to neighboring nations.

During this time, the church created a teaching position for me at a Christian academy, allowing me to minister to the next generation. I teach English through worship lyrics, Bible verses, and other creative methods, seeking to shape both hearts and minds in Christ.

This is just the beginning of God’s work on the Korean Peninsula. I am honored to serve as a pioneer in this nation. God is doing incredible things here, and I hope to continue being a part of it!

Because I am still in the early stages of building this ministry and am not under a specific mission organization, I rely heavily on the prayers and support of those whose hearts are stirred by what God is doing in this nation. I plan to be here for many more years and would love for others to join me on this journey of faith in any way possible. Every prayer and seed sown is for the expansion of God’s kingdom.
