Hey! My name is Josiah!
I am from Lancaster, PA and I love all things music and art. I am a recent high school graduate looking to do missions for as long as God opens doors.
This, however, wasn't always my plan. During high school I thought I knew that I was going to go to college after high school. Before my senior year of high school, I was accepted into the college of my top choice. God gave me the gift of doing well in school, so I got 25K in scholarships every year from my over 4.0 high school GPA. I knew exactly what I was going to study and what I was going to do after college. Then, two months before I graduated, God encountered me in such a radical way and made it clear to me that college wasn't His plan for me. He opened the doors for me to join the missions organization Circuit Riders. I am now currently attending a CRX Discipleship Training School. The path from going to college to then changing my mind and coming here was not an easy road to walk on, but God truly was by my side for every step. After my DTS is over, I am hoping to continue to walk with Circuit riders by joining staff for as long as God keeps the door open.
Circuit Riders is a Youth With A Mission (YWAM) base that focuses on reaching Generation Z across the country and the world. Our top missions field is high schools, colleges, and universities. We get our name from the original Circuit Riders that rode their horses across the country and were responsible for spreading the Gospel to the expansion of the West in America. Today, we use every tool available to reach this generation with Jesus's salvation.
Circuit Riders is a fully fundraised missions organization. Every one of us, from the students like me who have been here a couple months to the founders who have been in the mission for over a decade, are all supported by generous people who are willing to support the spreading of the Gospel. Our base is here in Huntington Beach, California, which is one of the most expensive areas in the country. We have expenses for housing, food, and transportation.
I believe that God provides for us when we are walking in obedience, but I believe that his providence is mainly through the generosity of the church and its believers.
Thank you so much, in advance, for your prayers and your financial support!
Josiah
