Hello! My name is Jessica Jansen, and I’m a full-time missionary from South Africa with a deep passion to see the giant of Bible poverty and biblical illiteracy eradicated and slain across the nations.

I’m currently based in Potchefstroom with YWAM Fire & Fragrance South Africa, where I am both being equipped and actively equipping others for the Great Commission. (Matthew 28:18-20)

My calling is clear: As I make it my aim to know God, I then make Him known by bridging the gap between cultures and help both the everyday believer and the unreached understand how to approach their Bible and engage with the Word of God.

Over the past four years, I’ve had the privilege of serving in more than seven nations—many among the hardest and darkest places—bringing the light of the Gospel to those who are lost, forgotten, and marginalized.

I work primarily with youth, investing in the next generation of leaders through long-term discipleship, leadership development, and missionary training. As part of YWAM’s University of the Nations, I staff second-level schools, with a special focus on the Discipleship Bible School (DBS).

My primary ministry is with End Bible Poverty Now, where I serve as the point person for Engagement, Publication, and Distribution within our DBS and DTS (Discipleship Training School) programs. I’m also actively involved in Oral Bible translation, helping bring Scripture to people in their heart language—many for the very first time.

Though the journey has not been without challenges, every moment of suffering with Christ has been deeply worth it. I count it a joy to partner with God in seeing lives transformed by His Word and His love.

As a full-time missionary, I rely completely on God's provision through the generosity of others. Your support makes it possible for me to continue this mission, covering basic living expenses such as accommodation, transportation, and food. In addition, international mission trips require significant funding, and I trust God to move hearts to send me into the nations.
