Hey! My name is Jordan Good and I love Jesus! I am a full time missionary with an organization called Youth With A Mission. I am based out of Kona, Hawaii. I help with a missionary training and discipleship school called Fire and Fragrance - Least Reached. Our overarching mission is simply to know God and make God known! In our schools, we really focus on the discipling and mentoring of young people to love God with all their hearts and be missionaries wherever they go. The second phase of the school we help lead teams of these students into international missions trips!

Our focus of the Least Reached school is to take the gospel to the ends of the earth, to places with extremely limited, to no exposure to the gospel and introduce them to Jesus!

Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father except through me” (John 14:6). The apostle Peter preaches about Jesus, “And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved” (Acts 4:12). Jesus is the one way God has made for people to be made right with Him, by faith in the sacrifice of Jesus dying on the cross and taking the punishment we deserved for all the bad things we have done in our lives that separate us from a perfect God.

However, there are an estimated 3.49 billion people on earth, or 43% of the global population, that are considered unreached with the gospel. This means they have little to no contact with other followers of Christ, lack a local church, and haven't received the message of salvation - many have never heard the name of Jesus Christ one time in their lives or know extremely little of the message of Jesus.

Jesus commands every believer: “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age” (Matthew 28:19-20). He also commands, “Go into all the world and proclaim the gospel to the whole creation. Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned” (Mark 16:15-16).

William Booth, the founder of the Salvation Army, said this about whether believers know if they are called to reaching the world for Jesus:

“’Not called’ did you say? ‘Not heard the call,’ I think you should say. Put your ear down to the Bible, and hear him bid you go and pull sinners out of the fire of sin. Put your ear down to the burdened, agonized heart of humanity, and listen to its pitiful wail for help. Go stand by the gates of hell, and hear the damned entreat you to go to their father’s house and bid their brothers and sisters and servants and masters not to come there. Then look Christ in the face—whose mercy you have professed to obey—and tell him whether you will join heart and soul and body and circumstances in the march to publish his mercy to the world.”

We have an urgent rescue mission before us. So many people around us and especially in the unreached nations of the earth are perishing and heading for an eternity separated from Jesus, and what will we do? We have one short life, and we should do everything we can to save as many people as possible, especially in these places where maybe they have never heard the gospel one time!

William Carey, a famous missionary to India, said this to his friends that he was asking to support him as he was about to move to India the rest of his life to reach people there:

“I will descend into the pit, if you will hold tightly to the ropes.”

All of us are called to reach others, but maybe not everyone is called to go to the hardest and darkest places like the Middle East or India or other countries where Christians are persecuted for their faith. However, some people (like me) can be in the “pit” of those more dangerous places, supported by ropes from their friends across the world!

My ministry is to help lead these missionary training schools to multiply the number of missionaries in the world, and then go myself to these places! I have travelled across the U.S, South Africa, Kenya, and most recently India, and this coming year I am leading another team most likely to northern India again. I ask that you join with me in the great rescue mission of God to reach as many people as possible! I do local evangelism around our base in Kona, work to mentor and raise up young people to become missional themselves, and then lead teams to some of the least reached places on the planet, seeking to make an eternal impact before our brief lives are over.

When we get to heaven, the only thing we will be able to bring with you are the souls that we helped save! Those who gave and made it possible to reach those people will also share in that fruit and in that joy. I give myself to this work full-time and do not receive a salary at all - would you consider partnering with me in the Great Commission the Lord gave us, giving either monthly or single (tax-deductible) gifts?

Let us have eternity stamped on our eyes, as Jonathan Edwards says, and remember that there is only life that will soon be past; only what’s done for Christ will last!

Only one life, yes only one,

Now let me say,”Thy will be done”;

And when at last I’ll hear the call,

I know I’ll say “twas worth it all”;

Only one life,’twill soon be past,

Only what’s done for Christ will last.
