Hi! My name is John Gabriel Luther.

I am a missionary serving with the organization Youth With A Mission (YWAM). Originally from North Carolina, USA, I've traveled to countries and cities all around the world, spending most of my ministry time in New Zealand, the Pacific Islands, and Montana, USA.

The heart of every YWAM base is to “know God and make Him known,” and this is primarily done through walking with young adults as they grow in their faith, most commonly through a Discipleship Training School (DTS). This equipping goes even further with secondary bible schools offered to those who want to learn more about the God they serve through His word. These secondary schools in particular are what I have fallen in love with, and have found myself called to be a bible teacher and disciple-maker- no matter where in the world I might call home for the season.

Though my original missional commitment was to New Zealand, following the Lord has taken me across the Pacific—especially to Indonesia and Papua New Guinea. I am based out of the States at the moment, and I am eager to engage with the Body of Christ in my home country. I believe deeply in meeting people in their own culture and language, and I’m passionate about helping others know the Bible in its full context. I’m so excited to be part of what God is doing in these places!

YWAM is a volunteer ministry, which means I rely on support—both spiritual and financial—from others. I’m currently raising funds to help cover staff fees, outreach missions, and my basic living expenses- both at home and abroad (such as food, health care, and travel).
