Hello friends and family! My name is Isaiah Zetterberg and I have been a missionary with YWAM Kona the last 2 years!

In the fall of 2021 I did a DTS (Discipleship training school) in Kona Hawaii that absolutely changed the course of my life. I figured I was going to take a gap year to do YWAM and then go back into the family business but God had other plans for my life. I saw the invitation that the Lord set before me to do what's counter cultural. Instead of going to college or coming up with a 5 year plan, the Lord told me to give Him my future and live by faith and He would use me for His glory.

I came to realize that most of my life I was pursuing my own will and desires and was inviting Jesus to tag along. Jesus reminded me of the verse in Matthew 16: 25, "For whoever would save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake will find it." Doing missions is a sacrifice when you have to miss family vacations, Christmas morning, hunting with the cousins, and leaving your friends. But just as David said in 2 Samuel 24:25, "I will not offer burnt offerings (my life) to the Lord my God that cost me nothing." The sacrifice is not nearly as burdensome as the delight I have in being a part of the great commission across the nations of the earth. The three parts of the great Commission are the sending, equipping, and the going. All are equally important and can't have 1 without the other!

For the past 2 years I've gotten the privilege to lead a team to Uganda Africa and the Himalayas sharing the gospel at crusades, encouraging churches and equipping them with discipleship tools, trekking to unreached villages doing prayer burns with the persecuted church, and daily discipling my students and activating them into being an unashamed witness for Jesus! For a long time I believed that the great commission was just another command that God gave us to do, but in reality the completion of the great commission is the invitation for Jesus to return! I truly believe that this generation is the most mission minded generation to ever walk the earth. 70% of GEN Z feels a moral obligation to change the world and 50% of GEN Z believers consider going into missions as a full time career. I want to be a part of stewarding these statistics!

I will be going back to staff another year at YWAM Kona this June and will be gone for 9 months where 6 months I will be equipping and discipling students to preach the gospel, hear God's voice, grow intimacy with the Lord, and how to live a life pleasing to God. The remaining 3 months I will be leading another team in a foreign nation!

Because missions is a full time job I am not able to work while I am staffing the DTS or while I am on the mission field. In order to sustain this life of doing missions I will be needing $1,500 of monthly support! This covers food, gas, housing, flights, and outreach costs!

I would love to invite you into being on my prayer team and asking the Lord if He would have you join in supporting me financially!

If you have any questions or want more information about YWAM I will leave my contact information below! Thank you so much for the love and support and taking the time to read what's burning on my heart!
