Hey everyone! My name is Isabella Malendres and I am a full-time missionary with YWAM (Youth with a Mission) in Kona, Hawai’i.

I serve in a ministry called Respect the Corners (RTC) which is a ministry founded on 4 core values, or “corners”: Faith, Family, Integrity, and Extravagant Love. We use fitness training to bring the Gospel to the nations. The heart of RTC is to reach the unreached and minister to local communities through fitness — this looks like coaching fitness classes locally and internationally, and trekking to the hardest places to reach in the world.

Over a year ago, the Lord told me to go to the Himalayas and since then I’ve been in a season of preparation. For the next 6 months, I will be getting training in coaching and leading treks in the nations! My heart burns for the Himalayas, and to pursue this I will be building a team of monthly supporters who will partner with me as I move to the Himalayas this upcoming spring. Moving long term means larger expenses, such as: permits, certifications, visas, housing and flights and regular expenses, so to cover these costs my goal is $3,500 of monthly support.

I believe there are two important positions to play in missions: the ones who are sent and the ones who send. That means that people like me need people like you to support us through prayer and finances in order to do what God has asked.
