Hello,

We are Gabriel and Michelle Strydom, and we serve with Fire & Fragrance South Africa in Potchefstroom, a university town about 120 km from Johannesburg.

In 2020, we pioneered this missions community with a simple yes to Jesus: to build a people of prayer, worship, discipleship, evangelism, training, and sending. What began as a small pioneering team has grown into a thriving missions family of over 170 missionaries from many nations, all giving themselves to one vision: to catalyze a generation and evangelize the world.

Our deepest desire is to know God and make Him known. Over the last few years, we have seen thousands come to Jesus, trained nearly a thousand students, and helped raise up young leaders who are carrying the gospel into campuses, cities, churches, families, nations, and unreached places.

Our work has grown into a broad apostolic ecosystem. We are involved in daily prayer and worship, discipleship schools, Bible training, worldview formation, leadership development, evangelism, high school and university ministry, media, Bible translation, church planting, mercy ministry, recovery ministry, fitness, education, and missions mobilization. We also work with local churches, ministries, leaders, and movements across South Africa, Africa, and the nations.

As a family, we have given our lives to seeing Jesus receive the reward of His suffering. We believe South Africa is filled with young men and women who are called by God, and our burden is to see them encountered by Jesus, rooted in Scripture, formed in holiness, filled with the Holy Spirit, equipped for leadership, and sent into the fullness of their calling.

We are also carrying a national and global burden for mission. Through Fire & Fragrance, The Send, training schools, outreach teams, gospel campaigns, discipleship initiatives, and partnerships across the body of Christ, we are laboring to see the Church mobilized into prayer, evangelism, missions, and the unreached.

At the same time, we are stepping into a new season of multiplication. Our heart is to see regional hubs and local gospel communities planted, leaders trained and sent, prayer and worship strengthened, churches equipped, campuses reached, and the gospel carried to the hardest and darkest places on earth, from university campuses to isolated villages, from city centers to unreached people groups.

Jesus is worthy of the worship of every nation, every tribe, every people, and every language. Our lives are given to seeing Him receive the reward of His suffering.
